USH'S MATRIX GAME 2006 FOURTH ASSIGNMENT (COMBAT)- 'The Real'

He very well might, this is the deal you have to consider.

Marduk might die if he goes. It's down to a roll.

I know. And that would really be troublesome.

But on the other hand, he's not actually been doing any fighting (as he's been piloting the ship) and would actually be able to kill sentinels, screwy gun or no.

What I'd ideally like is to get the bottom turret working again. Someone on each turret would stand a better chance than just one person on one turret. Increase the firepower at them, pull them in two directions, and have a better chance of killing some. But I just don't know if there's time for that now. Should have done that sooner, I suppose.

I don't know. I'll post what I decide on in a bit.

I'll make this clearer- 'tis the last decision in the game, really. No more fighting rolls after this. I am making rolls for the final outcome on both ships.

Also, can anyone fly at all? Because someone is going to have to try and land this thing.

Then I'll go.

And no, none of us currently on the Percy can fly it, else someone else would have been from the start.

Ok.

Final rolls will be made tomorrow, so if anyone changes their mind or has new ideas they can be processed.

no one on the percy combat path has hovercraft? weird two people on the shez do, me and BB good thinking from the both of us!

Anything we on the Shez can do to soften the Percy's landing?

One person does...on Philo. Which isn't too helpful.

Okay...

If the Shez can do anything to assist the Percy in its crash-landing, that would be great.

For Burn...Mors would ordered Hawk and Burn back to the broadcast area if it meant saving their lives, as Hawk will likely die if only Burn was ordered back. Right?

I'd be very grateful if what I was ordered to do didn't kill me.

If Percy crashes here it's curtains- you're on the surface.

Leaving someone solo is indeed extreme risk; check sentinel numbers and how much health they have left- which is very low for some, even some of those who have not or barely been hit.

But if a whole section is abandoned then both ships are doomed and everyone dies.

And if that happens I will be killing people.

No joking, guys. Want to know what's been going through my mind all day about this? 'Better one person than everyone'. Which sucks, but you know, oh well.

For the Percy...

Since Barb could likely hold the Broadcast area by himself- he's got decent Gun pool, he's got low damage (hell, if Mors can hold our Broadcast solo, Barb should be able to)- Cloud could bugger off to the cockpit. Then, Cloud could cover for Marduk on the issue of taking the Percy's handles. Then, both Marduk and San can rush up to the turret; either San or Marduk can take the turret while the other one covers for them.

For the Shez...

Ares is feeling brave. There are less Sentinels with Ares and Fire than there are with Burn and Hawk. Ares is also has one of the highest gun pools and is untouched, so leaving him on his own with four Sentinels will batter him, but they'd have to roll really well to take him out in one go...

Fire can dash over to Hawk and Burn, which will either increase Burn's chances of survival or allow Burn to bugger off. Burn can then either help Mors at Broadcast or get somewhere where he won't be butchered.

Problems with that - Barb will be needed to help Melis and Finn. And Cloud can't actually fly the ship which will make landing very problematic.

Sounds like a plan to me.

Sounds like a plan. A really stupid plan that will probably lead to death, but a plan nonetheless.

Lana, I was under the impression the ship wouldn't fly anyway.

Mors is dangerously low on health, in fact. 28 can vanish pretty fast.

Btw, it's not one go; it's lots of goes and more sentinels are arriving- for example, all those ones from the turrets on the Shez.

I have no real suggestions to help with Percy; the only persons who can pilot are Marduk and Finn; the landing problem cannot really be solved unless Marduk stays where he is.

Ush, would Ares' idea work for Shez?

Well, it COULD work.

I'm thinking that COULD is the best we're going to get in this situation...

"Fire, get to the other side!" Ares shouts, firing at the Sentinels. "Go! I'll hold here, don't worry!"
