USH'S MATRIX GAME 2006 FOURTH ASSIGNMENT (PHILOSOPHY)- 'The Door'

"Not exactly how you expected Humanity to live on in you, is it?" Heph asks. He contemplates something, reminded of his stay in Melitus' realm.

"Those SWAT at the Museum...they were an awful lot like Melitus' men. Masks and all. Was he involved with the bid for the Key?"

"Oh, no, dude," says one of the monks. "Those were ours. Freakboy here gave us the design, though."

"So you did try to retrieve the key Lo Qi?"

"Anyways how did you meet Lo Qi?"

"He DID send Jericho to get the Key, after all," Sirin says, reminding Berserker.

Well, having stripped you guys of guns and phones and done all the blabbing required, that's more or less it for this scene. You are being locked up insisde a cell out in the rock garden.

Heph smiles bitterly as they are locked away.

"Well, this is cozy."

The smile fades.

"Now what? We wait until we die?"

Lo Qi wants to give you guys some time to think "to get your thoughts in order, to avoid hasty judgments."

Then he will be back to explain.

"I don`t plan on dieing, if we were really so obviously doomed they wouldn`t be playing with us... We will get out of this, right Sirin? Just like you told me last time."- Melkor tries his best to give her a reassuring smile.

"Anyway, if everything goes as Lo Qi said, there is too late for anything, humanity extinction has began. Though I don`t think Lo Qi is omnipotent, perhaps System has some ace in its sleeve he doesn`t know of, or Neo and other Exiles may do something..... and there is always an option that he is not telling entire truth, he has deceived us pretty well first time we visited him.

Azrael, Heph, you have most experience with those issues, what do you think? You don`t agree with Jericho, right?" -He turns to them, appearing a bit lost.

Ush, do we feel ill?

Well, Azrael isn;t answering yopu right now because he just began a coughing fit.

Lo Qi didn't lie to you, as far as I remember. Certainly not significantly. Like as some of you did with Sennacherib, don't let your imaginations cloud reality.

Well, his behaviour was still misleading, because we had an impression that he is a passive observer, not someone scheming the end of Matrix.....

You never asked him that.

Nor did he answer any of your questions in bad faith. He did not once attempt to manipulate you towards his ends. he was very scrupulous about maintaining youe neutrality towards the issue.

He could very easily have talked you into wanting to open the door. He could have sent you to open it the moment he met you.

It was Jericho that led us straight to the Door, after all. Lo Qi told us to think twice...

When Azrael stops coughing, he straightens up.

"Agree with him on what?" he asks, "That we are going to die, or that his solution would work? Both seem plausible."

Berserker is sitting in the cell his back up againtht ewall and his head leaning up against it.

"This whole thing sucks."

This thinking/considering time is literal, btw. make use of it.

I'll kick one ball in. Why did Lo Qi say the comment about Sennacherib wanting you to open the door was, basically, wrong?

Because this is something Sennacherib would do if he was fighting for humans, not for Machines, right?

At some point, the Machines had control of every human being on Earth, which was when Sennacherib wanted us all executed.

But now, they have to factor in us, the people from Zion. If everyone in the Matrix dies, then that kills not only the humans, but removes the power source of the Machines, causing them to die or weaken severely. That's when we fly in and finish them off. Mankind wins. I doubt Sennacherib wants that...

That or he just doesn't care.

Yes, exactly.

Personally I wonder if Machines can still do anything to save the Matrix..... though propably Lo Qi has considered this for a long time.

I wonder what is the motivation for Lo Qi. Does he consider the existance of Matrix wrong because it enslaves humanity?

The Machines HAVE a solution. It was the Doctor. It's been accounted for already.

(They also had a solution called the Door, of course)

So only variable now may be Neo?
