USH'S MATRIX GAME 2006 FOURTH ASSIGNMENT (PHILOSOPHY)- 'The Door'

"But Hephasteus had the key, not Azrael. Did Azrael influence you, Jericho?"

Heph seems uttlery confused.

"But...how the hell did you pull THAT off?"

Oh,well, a bit obvious if Azrael had the key himself.

Of course, Azrael and Jericho conspiring to give you guys the key...

"Were you really into this, Azrael?"

Awful keen to check out that balcony at the Museum, wasn't he...

"What you just duped us all and risked our lives knowing fully well what would happen," Berserker has been relatively calm till now but there is a very angry tone in his voice.

"You are the reason that billions will die, and you didn't have the decency to tell us. What afraid we wouldn't go along with it if we knew? Tell me now Azrael is this true?""

Well, that's a very valid fear- if he TOLD you, you might not have wanted to open the Door!

How surprised are you, really? Look at his views- ends justifying the means.

Which, incidentally, those paying attention to his Oracle convo in Assignment 2 might have noticed...

True but now Berserker is angry that he got lied to. This person was supposed to be his friend and crew mate. That billions will die because Berserker was duped by this guy.

But what really bakes Berserker right now is that Azrael sacrificed everyone else on the Philo Path. He didn't even have the courage to face the end by himself he had to drag other people down with him.

I'm not saying you shouldn't be angry- just that you shouldn't be surprised.

As I say, he laid it out for you even back then. "How far will you go?" the Oracle asked him, and only him. he told you all- it was all a means to an end.

She knew, of course, but she never stands in the way of someone's choice, she just tries to illuminate the consequences.

This is what Azrael wanted.

It's not as if he WANTS you dead (any more than himself, but then his Prophecy didn't look good in that department), but it's just the way it is. He believes in the cause. Victory.

It was all there for those with an eye to look at it...

So why he just said that he wouldn`t actively release the Virus, but neither stop it? Hypocrite to the end?

I know I'm just trying to spell out how Berserker feels right now. Worst of all Berserker is really mad at himself. He never really liked the idea of the door and was hesitant about it at every corner. He just thinks that he should have listened to his instincts better.

Well, technically it was Heph that opened the door.

But I think the point is more that Azrael is struggling with his logic as much as any of you have been. He's still on this Path, after all, and he is still trying to justify things.

Well, Melkor thinks that he was foolish and he is not sure if he would even like to be a warrior anymore if he wasn`t about to die.

True

"So it is true then huh. You didn't even have the guts to take the key and open it yourself. Whats the matter wanted the outcome but not the blood on your hands."

Berserker looks around and sees his friends coughing and dieing. He himself is not feeling so well.

"Well I guess there isn't much we can do now is there?" Berserker looks to Lo Qi then to the ground.

It's a bugger, isn't it?

So we get back from philosophying to saying goodbye to each other?

Lo Qi's not there.

Berserker realizes Lo Qi isn't there any longer then begins to look around trying to find him.

If he doesn't see him Berserker will hang his head down almost in shame.

Jericho leaves. Azrael seems to be unable to mount a reply, which I am sure Trick will agree mirrors his real life self.

We are very close to death, right?

Melkor tries to laugh at this tragically insane situation, but he can only cough more blood.

"You see Sirin..... you were wrong after all, we were never supposed to survive this. I am sorry it ends like this....'
