USH'S MATRIX GAME 2006 FOURTH ASSIGNMENT (PHILOSOPHY)- 'The Door'

Started by Trickster102 pages

Ah, I see what you mean. I'll try and keep quiet for a bit. 😉

Blimey, I hope not, we need you.

"You may remember," says the Oracle, "that I asked you another question, Azrael."

Sirin watches for Azrael's response, assuming that the Oracle is referring to their earlier meeting with her.

Sorry guys, it's my last exam tomorrow. Well, last important one.

So I assume it's this question "What could be another name for your last fight, the one that will kill you?"

Azrael says, "I remember, and I still don't have a reply. Perhaps you'd care to give me a clue?"

All I can think of is: "a foregone conclusion".

"If you chose to do it, it must be for something very important. Most important thing in your life, maybe."

"I don't know the initial question," Sirin says, "but seeing as we're all going to die pretty soon, it's most likely happening or has happened. Maybe the most important point in your life so far was deciding to kill billions of people..."

Sirin crosses her arms.

"For the last time, I didn't make that decision!" Azrael turns on her, "Don't speak to me again unless you're prepared to realise that.

"I don't know the answer to your question, now. Let me think on it."

"Very well, Azrael. But I've got one other thing for you to think about as well. And I would think on it very quickly. There's not much time for you.

"Why do I make a prophecy for someone, Azrael?

"Well, can't stand here yapping all day. Things to do. Bye bye, you people. Try to focus yourselves; I think you'll find you feel better that way."

She picks up her chair and starts to wander off.

Heph just watches her go.

"Now what?" Heph asks, once she's out of sight.

"That Lo Qi," says the Oracle as she shuffles away. "Always with the big picture. Keeps mmisisng the little things. Like where his keys are."

Something metallic drops to the ground in her wake.

Sirin moves to retrieve what she is assuming at the keys to our cell.

Yup.

Out of arms' reach though.

"Damn," Heph comments, as he watches Sirin struggle to grab at them. "They're too far. She must be expecting the others to show up..."

Anything in the cell that we could use?

How are we all doing, damage wise, btw?

Damage wise you aren't so bad- gamewise we'll clear the decks for you.

Nothing really in the cell you can use, no. It's really not far away, though- just not quite reachable to your arms.

Use our coats? 😉

I'm really not all that good at deciphering these clues the Oracle drops, lol.

Well, it's your moment in the sun, old chap. Best get that thinking box into gear.

Yes, it should be manageable with someone's coat...

Klez will take off his trench coat and move to the door, flinging his trench coat over the keys and dragging it back towards him until the keys have been snagged and brought into arm's reach.

Ok, let's get you out of here.

You are now free and have access again to your phones and even weapons, stored nearby.

The first thing you can do is contact the combat path and update them on all that is going on.

Sirin will tuck her guns into her coat when she gets them.

She'll be the one to call the Shez and relay the following information to whoever answers.

She dials away and puts the phone to her ear.

Major points I feel we need to share with the Combat path:

- The Hunter is one of Jericho's Machine duplicates; due to an error in the creation process (i.e. Agents), he has no deletion interface.

- The Silent SWAT from the Museum were created based on Jericho's knowledge by Lo Qi's programmers, for their use.

- The Door was the gateway to a prison for dangerous Machines, more or less.

- The Doctor is meant to put Machines, such as the Virus, behind that Door, but cannot harm humans, so no worries there.

- The Virus was freed from the Door by us. He is meant to infect all of humanity within the Matrix, which happens through just being near him. It affects the mind, and therefore the body.

- The Virus is incredible deadly with martial arts. The 12 Agents at the Monastery are gone, their hosts killed by the Virus.

- Lo Qi and Jericho have immunized the Virus to the Doctor's method of putting Machines behind the Door. He cannot be imprisoned this way.

- We think that Sennacherib may have been his creator, and may have a way of stopping the Virus.

- If it IS Sennacherib, we may be able to convince him to share his knowledge on the grounds that if the Virus destroys the Matrix, humanity will be able to destroy the Machines, and Sennacherib will have ultimately lost the war.

Azrael can explain his situation, because I don't want to tell them the wrong thing.

I'll transmit exactly that now, Sirin.
