Because Hulk is of course aware that he may have been partly responsible for the explosion since he is capable of breaking the 4th wall and reading the comics.
Or pausing for three seconds and going over how many times he has smashed it himself.
Hulk fanboyism is getting old now Sym.

Fanboyism? Not really. It seems more like your hunting down every little snag in the story and completely ignoring that character's personality and mindset. Not to mention the experiences that he had which really can't be taken from your POV.

Nope, just saying that with Banner inside him, he should be able to figure out who's to blame.

Banner? The guy he hates beyond almost anyone else? The philosophical, mental, physical and emotional antithesis of everything the Hulk stands for? The person who's form Hulk used to attack DoctorStrange? The guy who's friends are all just puny humans?
THAT BANNER?

Yes, that Banner.
The same Banner who could've warned Dr.Strange or if he had been a man, told Stephen to simply kill him off. You know, like the real heroes do when they become a threat to society and such. Then again the Hulk was never much of a hero, nor much of an anti-hero.
Xavier wrote files on how to kill him if he ever got out of control, same with Wolverine. Sentry locked himself away and made the world forget he existed. Cap had himself locked away. I think that the so called "intelligent" Hulk could've paused a second and asked himself why they sent him away.

😂 Banner was never supposed to be a hero or an anti-hero. Hulk is everything that Banner isn't, they're two halves of a basically incomplete person.

And Banner ran like a scared little kid. Because guess what, he's not a hero and he doesn't have the heroic mentality.

What are you a robot? Haven't you ever been enraged before?
He's capable of more complex thought. He's not really that much more rational.
I don't see why people think Bruce Banner would be any more sympathetic than the Hulk, during Planet Hulk he could turn back into Banner at will (as he did for Caiera), even if it is still quite screwed up, I think Banner hates the Illuminati just as much as Hulk does; until he finally realises that it was him, then he's going to feel like such a douche.

Actually part of his rage could well stem from him knowing he is partly to blame and hes projecting that anger outwards and its increasing his rage at the illunminati.

Technically he does deserve much of the blame. The problem is that we can't be sure the he knows the he's responsible for it.
Is he responsible? Yes
Do the facts available to him say the Illuminati is? Yes
From his POV what he's doing is justified and (well for the the Hulk at least) his response is understandable.

The Illuminati don't know that he smashed the ship, do they? The Hulk could play that to his advantage. For all we know, he could be fully aware of this, just doesn't want anyone else knowing about it.
it's a blummin' comic. guys in tights fly about saving damsels from fiery buildings!
Thanos, Galactus, Doom etc all willingly subordinate humanity for their exigencies and Hulk... Hulk's ALWAYS been about black and white, he's as manchean as they come. you attack Hulk, you're the bad guy. no matter the greater context. you're in distress and you call out to him, he'll help you. he sees someone beating up a 'weakling' he'll go defend the 'weakling' but he's doing all that on pure emotion.
as far as this Hulk's concerned, he was shot into space without his (or Banner's) consent and that means the Illuminati are due an ass whoopin'. the horrors he suffered afterwards are a direct result of that decision. and he's not one to look at the fine details.
come on, all the Superheroes are basically gods. their morality and their indefatigable spirit beyond anything you'd see in real humans. Hulk's the only thing close to human, who has powers.
he doesn't want to cause harm and destruction, but at the end of the day, if he's provoked he will respond. disproportionate and/or ill-advised though it may be.

So,who has hulk killed that was innocent, better yet who has hulk killed.
What the Illuminati did was not right BUT it WAS very understandable.
On that same token, what Hulk is doing is NOT right BUT very understandable.(especially considering his emotional makeup)

If you take a drug, and commit a crime while not in control of your body. You are still responsible. Think of anger as Banner's drug.
