As far as I know Hulk was aware they were getting rid of him. This time he thought they were mocking him.

The message says he's going to a paradise but he gets attacks the moment he leaves the ship. The other times they were just scared, this time they were taking an initiative against him.

you also went on at some point about how the nature of his power was changed into sound. the true nature of bb's voice has NEVER been clear. his voice was 'muffled' on the moon where there is no air to carry sound when he yelled at the avengers and did minimal damage (didn't even ko the HUMAN scarlet witch). on 2 occasions, DAZZLER has absorbed and redirected his 'voice-power'. and those were old references. there are other portrayals of this nature. i just chose a couple to verify that his voice has indeed been depicted as sonic in nature for a long time.

so let's review quickly:

first you said he'd never use his voice because it would kill all the inhumans and wreck the moon.

false. he can easily direct the power of his voice so there was no risk of collateral damage at all. and he has nothing CLOSE to planet-destroying feats.

then you said it was pis that his voice was shown as sound.

false. his voice hasd long been portrayed as sound in several instances.

next its pis because bb didn't turn hulk to stone or matter manip him.

false. first, i'd love to see any matter manip bb has used in the last 25 years. not saying the old scans shouldn't be used, or that they shouldn't be seen as relevent, but recently, he's done nothing of the sort. in fact, in his whole HISTORY he has VERY few matter manip feats and next to none against organic beings. so given all that, how exactly can it be pis he didnt' do it to hulk? 😕

he has also been stalemated at length by thing and namor, and ko'd readily by thor. i know, those are all likely pis as well . . .

someone was also going on about how he turned off mandarin's rings: that was a fuggin ANDROID in the respect thread, and not the real mandarin -- who was battling ALL the inhumans until bb used some ridiculous . . . hypno-thingy to MESMERIZE mandarin! 😂

was it pis that bb didn't . . . hypnotize hulk too? 😕

as far as bringing up previous fights with hulk -- they are utterly irrelevent. this is a NEW hulk, in a state we have not seen him in before. consequently, to use past showings is meaningless. what i REALLY don't get is why, when he was close enough, hulk didn't just rip the antennae off bb's head. thor ko'd him that way easily. i think it's pis he doesn't just grab the antennae and rip it off bb's head.

that's the thing with crying pis -- ANYONE can do it about almost anything. it's the whiners way out. i'm willing to say bb could have taken hulk for granted a little, not having been aware of what hulk had gone through, and the changes he underwent.

it is NOT pis because bb didn't use a power he has shown less than a handful of times and that he has not used in any meaningful way in 25 years. that is patently absurd.

ps--thanks for looking out herc. 'preciate the comments, but i'm a big boy and can do all right for myself. if he's outta line, i'll let him know but i wasn't offended by anything he said. 🙂

you realize that hulk beat up a creature that died in a huge explosion of gamma radiation just before he got sent away, right? did you see how incredibly out of proportion he was after that fight? that's a power boost if i've ever seen one.

and from the minute he landed, he was told that his strength was depleted by the wormhole he went through. that was again established when he talked to the silver surfer. hulk's acting like an idiot with this revenge thing, but it wasn't the humans who powered him down and he knows it.

When has Black Bolt ever had the need to turn anyone to stone? It's been quite a while since we've seen Thanos display any form of hand to hand skill, but that doesn't necessarily mean that writing him with martial arts skill was PIS. Also, when has he ever faced someone with Hulk's durability lately?

Black Bolt's not an idiot, when he saw how Hulk was able to take a whisper from him with barely a scratch, he would've tried to some alternate method. Even if his "stone turning" method is PIS, even though it fits with his powers, it's stupid that he didn't try to use any other form of powers.

The guy with the dream powers we saw during Silent War could've easily put a stop to Hulk's crusade. You'd think they would try and be creative for once and just not Black Bolt stand there screaming.

so you're saying that world war hulk boils down to a classic misguided revenge story starring some guy whose stronger than some other guys. sounds like a compelling read.

i just read planet hulk, and as much as i think alien, sci-fi stories are generally boring, at least there was some interesting play between the characters. hulk actually did some good and came out as a respectable character. now he's just some angry giant who keeps repressing banner [except when he's about to get laid, oddly enough] on a path of destruction. whoo freakin' hoo.

The current Hulk is totally batshit insane. That's why WWH could get very interesting, because the writers seem to have intended it that way. Namor even said it. If they do want to do this right, they should make this as morally ambiguous as possible.

Black Bolt is very reserved when it comes to using his voice, we alln know that. I mainly based the fact that he would ruin the moon on what Professor X said. That if he spoke, he'd bring down Wakanda around them, around them. I know that he can guide his whispers pretty decently, but I didn't know that he could guide a full scream.

For the record, Sentry wasn't even within his range of vision when Black Bolt whispered in Silent War. Yet he felt a huge amount of pressure. So even when he directed it, those around could still hear it. Which is why I thought he would hold back, Medusa was standing close to him. If a whisper is enough to do what we saw in Silent War, shouldn't a scream kill Medusa?

I suppose it's feasible that Hulk absorbed ALL of it, since he was so close to him but I still think it's a bit unlikely that a whisper affects all those around him when a scream doesn't.

I used Nate Grey as an example to show that it wasn't such an incredibly big deal if Hulk did shake a dimension with his punch. Although that's not really a durability feat, now is it? I don't see how that's relevant when discussing whether or not Hulk would've survived Black Bolt's scream.

Am I the only one annoyed by how Marvel keeps boasting that Hulk is "smart" now? I mean sure he gained SOME skill of Sakarr, but he isn't anywhere near most characters.

Basically he went from randomly smashing to actually learning how to throw a punch, which is cool, I have nothing against it, but when Marvel acts as if he is the next Cap, its a bit ridiculous

Especially considering he is far from the most skilled warrior in his Warbound
