I didn't consider that....

He said GR was a god and that his powers were limitless.

Jonny was clearly below Hulk so in a fight Hulk would probably (and did) win. But once Jonny is out of the picture Hulk would lose.

actually, no it wasn't quite so declarative.
Strange said that it was possible that GR could beat Hulk, not a definite statement. it's possible that Superman beats Surfer, that Spiderman beats Wolverine (or vice versa).

and he didn't say GR was unlimited, but that they were nearly limitless. which is far short of the powers that Hulk can tap into.

So are Reed, Tony and BB all dead? What happened to Xavier?

Xavier is tending the wounded, because pragmatism apparently isn't his thing.

if you want to get really mathematical about it, "nearly limitless" means unlimited. unlimited translates into infinity, and since infinity has no endpoint, the terms near, nearly or nigh can't have a quantifiable distinction from infinity. that would give them a numerical value, which in the grand scheme of things, is virtually as far from infinity as any other numerical value. the only way to be nearly unlimited is to be ever-increasing at a length from infinity; and since infinity itself is ever-increasing, the length [hundred, million, even trillion] becomes the smallest of decimal differences once infinity gets far enough into the numerical scale.

so, technically, ghost rider's power can't possibly be "far short" of hulk's [assuming hulk is an infinity of power, as said a few times] due to the mathematical rules surrounding infinity and anything "near" it.

Okay... moving back a bit. Where had it been stated that Emma Frost can't use her psychic ability while she is in diamond form? Just curious.

GR left Hulk alone. --> GR must consider Hulk innocent
"GR avenges the innocent."
"We're not innocent." (translated: we're guilty)

Seems like it's leading to GR being involved to me.

We'll just have to wait and see.

It would be good, but I don't think you understand Ghost Rider. He wouldn't avenge Hulk unless Hulk was actually dead. Just like we saw in trail of tears, you don't get any help until you're actually death. But yeah, I suppose it would be possible for the Ghost Rider to come after Dr.Strange, but there are plenty of others who aren't innocent and this was part 2/2 in GR world war hulk.

Here you go, slight spoiler from the miniseries.

it clearly wasn't a mathematical statement, but one could do that with any piece of comic book hyperbole.
incalculable strength?
power beyond comprehension?
...

it is merely adjectival silliness typical of everyday human speech, this is different from the 'expository' type of conversations and narrations which give detail of a character's situation beyond that which the action communicates.

I would take a stalemate personally.

I realize that maybe he's just Warning her.. but even if he was warning her wouldn't he know that when she's in that form he's perfectly fine... being that he studied the whole team alot? Again, just curious.

Another dead link.

Either way, we've seen the old Hulk get his ass kicked many times. Someone who's godlike can get his ass kicked as well.

Just not by hulk 😖hifty:

Is anyone actually picking up Frontline?

Because as far as I can tell from the online scans it's just as bad (if not worse) as Civil War: FL

Seriously, Jenkins once again tries to make political controversy by saying that SHIELD has "abandoned" all the poor people, yet in the main WWH book, it was mentioned that the only people who would be left behind in NY were those who didn't want to be found or leave.

And ironically enough the only people that are seen left behind in frontline refuse to leave their homes anyway so basically he just contradicted himself

Of course Molly Floyd has yet to yell at Hulk for not going on Myspace yet 😛

It's really lacking in the action department, so I mainly read it for laughs. Since I won't get the buy these for another year (when they arrive in Norway) I pick up ever tie-in. You won't miss anything if you don't read it though.

if "nearly unlimited" is hyperbole in speech, why wouldn't the synonymous "infinity" be as well? just saying.
