Anyone remember one of the scenes in Annihilation, when Firelord is in stasis and Nova asks the nurse what's Firelord's status?
The nurse says that Firelord is technically both alive and dead: "whatever Galactus did to him...it's way beyond anything we'd recognize. It's like trying to decipher the workings of a god."
Black Panther: "I'm wagering your physique is as humanoid as it appears. If I'm right, you won't be able to break this hold."

Anyway, I draw solace from the fact that McDuffie NO knowledge of Galactus and the heralds whatsoever. Case-in-point: in the previous FF issue, when they go to acquire the ultimate nullifier, uatu says "MY ultimate nullifier." Obviously, the nullifier is Galactus', not uatu's.
McDuffie admitted his grave mistake on the cbr forums.
Anyway, it'll be just totally absurd how black panther will beat surfer next issue, that it'll be hilarious.

Yeah, McDuffie's made a couple mistakes so far, but hey at least the book is well written 😬
Anyway, the only reason that Surfer let T'Challa do that to him was because he wanted to hear what he had to say and he was holding back due to his friendship with Ben and Johnny.
Otherwise, he would have fried BP and Storm ✅
Plus, at least T'Challa is being written in character! 😄
EDIT: Oh and its obvious T'Challa was bluffing when he said he could tear off his arm 😉
