Thats just ridiculous. Note the BP sig and avy, but thats thats ****ing ridiculous. I thought we would, as Ben described it, Ben and Silver fighting while T'Challa outsmarts him. Instead T'Challa overpowers Surfer. Damn, that even felt ridiculous to type.
McDuffie has already admitted that he made mistakes before, but this one is huge. Does he realize Surfer's anatomy is only outwardly humanoid, thats all? Does he realize the literally million of ways SS could have used the power cosmic to effortlessly free himself? Does he have an inkling as to how strong Norrin is?
That was just painful to read and has effectively killed my interest in this story. I just want to know what's going to happen in this "fight" next issue.

Actually he was talking to the other three (Ben, Johhny and Ororo) and telling them that he can take anything the three of them can throw at him but that T'Challa can't take an attack from him.
Which really just adds to the absurdity of the whole thing.

He didn't say their attacks wouldn't hurt him; he said he would just survive them. There is a big difference there.

Long Halloween, Dark Victory and Superman For All Seasons trash anything McDuffie has written for comics.
Hell, later in this issue T'Challa starts acting like he leads the team and a fight nearly breaks out between Ben and himself and he actually thinks he can beat Ben as well.
So assuming Norrin, being as smart of guy as he is, knows the easiest way to get answers from T'Challa is to make him THINK he's in control of the situation.
