I have every taste...in music.

I just choose to listen to more than one bands back catalogue repeatedly, you malcontent.

I should thwack you in the knee, elbow in the face.

You've seen those idioty apparently.

The first time I saw that was from someone who honestly and inexcusably should have known better.

The Man Who Sold The World - Nirvana (originally by David Bowie)

I thought about that one, but I like the original better. That is definitely a good cover though.

Hey Joe & All along the watchtower by Jimi & One of us by O(+>

Yeah I loved the original as well. But what made the Nirvana cover special for me, was the characteristic Cobain pitch changes.

buckley's done a few...Calling you by Jevetta Steele was amazing as well

jose gonzalez has done a few...heartbeats, love will tear us apart.

john mayer doing hendrix' "bold as love"

Ryan Adams doing a really downbeat version of brown sugar by the rolling stones

Cover Songs that are better then the Original.

Which, if any, cover songs have you liked more then the original?

There are a few I can think of off the top of my head.

1) All Along the Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix
2) Gin and Juice - The Gourds 😆
3) Hot in Here - Flip the Switch 😆

... any others you can think of?

Hasn't this thread been done before?

"All mixed up" written by The Cars

covered by The Red House Painters.

Oops... I Did It Again - Children of Bodom (Britney Spears)

Circle of Tyrants - Opeth, originally written by Celtic Frost, of whom we all know are shit.

Never Gonna Give You Up (originally Rick Astly) - Brian Griffin on Family Guy

Me & my folks, you and your folks by Funkadelic.

(Originally a gospel song)

i like the acoustic Billie Jean by Chris Cornell much better than the original by Michael Jackson hmm

I think THAT is the precise reason why people like his version.

He sounds like a zombie getting bed-bathed, which (to me anyway), makes the song sound a whole lot sadder. He sounds like he's in pain and I guess the fact that there's a strong sense of that emotion might be why some prefer it.

I don't know. That's just one thought. 😉

I agree.
