I didn't dislike them, I didn't think I was better than them, I didn't do anything to harm or hinder them, but I simply didn't know how to react. I reacted differently to them and their culture compared to how I would have reacted to Hispanics, Whites, or Blacks.
However, after living in the same building as them for the past two years? I've come to know a bit about the Hindi, Canto, Mandarin, Japanese, Taiwanese and many other cultures. I now react to meeting a new Indian the same as I used to when meeting a new Hispanic, Caucasoid, or Black.
I will say, however, that I have a slight fear that I, now, would be unable to treat Whites, Hispanics, or Blacks in the same way that I used to. I've gotten so used to Asians and Indians that I've someone lost the other cultures. Who knows?
Anyways, this was a bit long winded, and no one needs my life story, I just wanted to point out that it is possible to reach a point where you stop reacting differently to different skin tones. There is a point where you just....get used to it, I s'pose?
