hell no, man. this is a losing debate for me, as i'm not a sociology student. we can talk marx's thoughts on stratification, or weber's three point theory, but i'm not interested in "the stratification of american class system", as it is essentially (though it may be true, valid, or otherwise) an excuse. i'm tempted to think that we as a people just aren't good rulers, as the only example of that is the africa (aka the most ****ed continent on planet earth for the last two thousand years or so).

i stand by these points: 1. all this useless complaining is making us look bad, and is detrimental to any sort of progress.

2. sociology is riddled with conjecture, and therefore cannot be proven (advanced though it may be).

I never said you said bitching would help blacks.

While I know racism against blacks exists, I also think black communities hinder their people from success as well, and black people should work to change their own communities as well.

Along with Max Weber, they both Credited the Rising of affluent Nations because of the way they robbed the less advanced for resources.

And you feel we are horrible rulers??? you have heard of ancient Egypt??? Africa is the most ****ed up continent because of white people, and Colonization, dont blame the Africans for not having Guns or being Advanced Enough in warring ways, and subsoquently being conquered and literally sucked dry.... because it is simply not fair.

Maybe its time black people maned up like the Irish and stopped bitching about the past? Let it go. Not only is it counter productive, race issues are pretty much irrelevant into days day and age. I'm pretty sure that "if" you did that, 400 years after my death my decendents wouldn't be bitching and holding grudges against people who had nothing to do with my capture/salavery simply because they happen to be the same colour of skin... but what do I know? And no, white people these days didnt enslave my people, but they did greatly profit, GREATLY, and with my people they shared none of the fruits, whatsoever, and that is wrong.

I tried to make that point once. Hell I watched gangs of new york the other day. The Irish were a discriminated minority but the Irish were discriminating on blacks, so its like the blacks were lower than the Irish. Yeah I know its fiction but it has some basis in fact.

I have to say most Irish people ive met in real life tend to be less racist.
