I dislike and like Mr. Master simultaneously, I especially like him when he clears up the PIS forum lies that people takes as religious truth concerning Silver Surfer.
The KMC Surfer is so skewed and twisted from the actual Silver surfer in comics, it is like trying to compare an ant to a red shift, not even the same spectrum of entities or concepts.

Its quite clear Surfer is as capable/even far more than what Nova has shown..
One can not be more powerful than or equal to the source of Energy one draws from.We only have proof that a Sun would have destroyed Ego.
Who says he wasn't FP?
Not really according to his bio, he survived once before being propelled in the sun.. FP or not there are circumstances in those scans preventing ego from fully protecting himself. You could say his as scared of the starship engine as well, it propelled him for years non stop till gaining control of it..
There are a few things wrong in that issue as well, for a being w/ immense psionic abilities, he should be capable of using those powers to stir clear of the path to the sun therefore avoiding it or maybe his just not at FP not having enough juice..

I think Surfer can beat him in the Sun. Surfer doesn't have to absorb the sun to beat Supes, all has to do is go intangible and alter the way Supes body metabolizes the Sunlight so it becomes toxic to him.

There was another, the red soll star the scan posted by Mr. Master, I seem to recall that Thanos mentioned it on panel "infinite source of energy" but am not really too sure now 😄 .. Its in SS series 2 infinity Crusade crossover, it ties in w/ IC #4..

Sorry friend,
but I'm not going to trust some calculated Cropped Scans,
what issue did this happen in so we can see the circumstances behind it.
It doesn't even mention he prevented the Sun from going Nova.
Anyone who looks at those two Scans will see the vagueness involved.
Seems like they didn't want us to know the method Surfer used, if at all.

Surfer found a way to control his propulsion Unit and that was that.
