Current, and he used a magical sword that stops their healing factor from working. Even Wolverine admited it can kill him.

As predicated Wild Child is going to step up as Wolverine's main foe as well...he's blonde, and yes that was a reason said in the comic. There will be a Black [Wolverine] and blonde [Was Sabretooth, now WC] lupine race member

Yeah a behind the scenes type of villian, but he will most likely look like Sasquatch being covered in all fur and all.
