Better be, Sabretooth was a great villian.

I'm not worried. Finally, Sabretooth will get to use the line: "I was dead. I got better." I'm sure there's LOTS of comic characters that have bounced right back after getting their head cut off...

... Honestly though, Marvel wants to sell the most comics they can and I doubt fans will accept anybody other than Sabretooth filling in Sabretooth's slot. It's just a matter of time before fan outcry and nasty letters to the editors get him back.

Eh, it could have been a worse ending 😬

I just don't get the whole Sabertooth crying and Wolverine saying Happy Birthday thing 🤨

Well I'n not sure about the crying thing but "Happy Birthday" was what Sabertooth wrote on the cabin after he raped and killed Silver Fox.

😆

Tis a flesh wound! classic!

Moron!

Gimme one guy who can fill the role of number one Wolverine bad guy as good as Sabretooth. No. On second thought, don't bother. There is no one and I know it, you know it, jinzin know it...

First thing I thought of when I saw the picture. I'm glad someone else appreciates my sense of humor.

Monty Python: The Quest for the Holy Grail is such an underated movie.

lol yeah...

To be honest, while story wise it doesn't make much sense, I'm REALLY REALLY glad they decided to give Sabes his throwback Jim Lee costume, that's soooooo much better than that wierd indian-burlap sack crap that Sabretooth's been struttin around in for the last dozen or so months.
Especially with Bianchi's art...

and yeah, there IS no replacement for Sabretooth, end of story. The only guy that even comes close off hand is Cyber, but even then he's a far cry short of being near as interesting.

this is gettin out of hand, him bein that old or gettin nine lives. seems writers gettin their creative juices sucked dry and now rippin off material. Rip off of characters that are immortal and lived thousands of years ( Eternal Warrior, X-O Mano War, Highlander, etc, etc.) wolverine has great back in the ol days...to bad its gotten out hand. 🙁 😱

😕

in the first 20 or so issues it was hinted that Wolverine was no less than the hand of god in a previous life thousands of years ago when demons ran the earth, an essence of him living in prehistoric times really isn't that big a deal.

I did not think that the writing was very good at all in the issue.

First off, Jeph Loeb didn't write Rahne's Accent correctly:

"I dinnae Can say" translates to "I do not can say" so either she's an idiot, or the Writer doesn't understand the accent.

Second... WildChild... I'd think he'd be a little more afraid that since Wolverine just lobbed off Sabertooths head from a Magic (or whatever) sword, he might do the same to him. Instead he says "You can TRY to beat me" Well.... if wolverine tried, lets be honest... he'd Succeed.

Third, This Romulus thing.... I can't stop thinking about Romulux when they mention his name... The character from Aquateen Hunger Force. He's a Tar Monster from some planet that has a wicked MP3 Player... so everytime I read his name I'd bust up laughing.

Fourth, The MOUTH on Wolverine.... is that what makes him a badass these days? Calling people deuchbags and swearing all the time... I just don't remember it being so Vivid in Hama/Claremont's/ David's writing... so if it's done in all the other writers than I can understand it... I just won't like it.

Fifth, To me, Emma should have taken it better... makes her seem tame, but that's probably JUST me.

I think that's all my gripe... here's the good stuff.

1:
AWESOME COVER!!! Very classic, I dug that.

2:
AWESOME PENCIL'S AND COLORING!!! Very good.

3:
The part where Sabretooth kept trying to put his arm back on 😆:rolling:😆
That made me rich with laughter.

So basically (to me) everything involving the art was executed properly, and everything that had to do with the Story was a bit lacking... but again... I don't know any of the context of the story... so yeah... I could be uninformed by the bad writing.

Emma experienced a psychic feed back of Wolverine's memories and emotions. If he wasn't such a hard ass and emotionless bastard, she probably would have ended up in a coma.

I agree with everything else, especially the ATHF reference!

"What this MP3 Player; you can have it, I got this grappling hook now."
"I'm just better than you."

The mouth is actually something I din't mind, I'd kind of expect an old codger who has seen and done the worst possible things to other people to talk like that, very negative, very cynical, and full o cusswords. Anything else doesn't really seem true, just campy.

I think the violence towards women really hit home to her and made her feel vulnerable.

Oh man, the writing sucked soooo bad, it was just aweful... I mean we didn't really get anything but Logan and Creed kicking the crap out of one another for 6 months.

The story really didn't go anywhere, all it did was open up a book full of questions but with no answers.

One major thing I hated was this:
Their "first fight" as presented in Wolverine vol.2 issue 10... To me what made this fight important to Logan was that it was the first fight he'd ever really got stomped in. Before that he thought he could do anything, take anyone... It was such a one sided ass kicking that he's still hurtin from it. Having Wolverine beat Creed BEFORE that and having Logan win, totally took away what that fight was supposed to represent to Logan, what Creed was suppose to represent as his mountain of a man who kicked Logan from one side of the rockies to the other. It completely trashed their story.

I'm also dissapointed that we were told we wre going to get the defnitive answer for why Logan and Creed have always had this anamosity for one another, and in the end all we got was this "well it's always been like that" sort of excuse bull-shit.

And seriously, what did we get from this?
We DON'T have anymore real insight into Logan, we DON'T have any idea who or what Romulus is or his motivation, We DON'T know why he mutated the dog girls, or had Sabretooth captured and incubated, we DIDN'T even get a real answer to explain what the deal is with this long standing rivalry between the two, not one that was worth 3 dollars a pop for 6 months straight.

Crap, total and utter crap.

Actually we don't know that, we don't know anything about this "new" Wild Child.

I don't like this new Wild Child 🙁

Wolverine is pathetic now. The old one reeked of awesome-ness.

Favourite moment was when he was in early X-Men and was attacked by that group Emma was in the Hell Fires club I think. He was smashed into the sewer or where ever then he came back later on. How can he survive or be conscious after punches from Hulk. He was awesome, now he died and comes back and wins. How the **** is that entertaining??? 🙄

People who think he should be doing this are just plain.....dumb. 😬

In his first 30 appearances in Uncanny X-Men Wolverine: shrugged off Colossus' "strongest attack", a direct blast from Firelord, a punch from Moses Magnum (who treated Colossus like a rag-doll), an attack from Kierrok (who one shotted Colossus), and was punched "several miles" by Guardian and was only down for seconds. Even in his first appearance he was slammed in to the ground by the Hulk with "earth shattering force" and was still conscious... and anyone who has read Hulk 182 can tell you that Wolverine was up and ready for a rematch moments after he was koed by the Hulk. He didn't even have a healing factor written into his character until X-Men 142.

Who the hell is this "old Wolverine" people remember so fondly? Wolverine has been doing similar things since he first joined the X-Men... and he didn't even have a reason for doing it yet because he didn't even have a healing factor! If you don't know what you are talking about, you propably should a void talking about it.

If they stated in bios or ANYTHING he had some durability it would be fine, but he is staed to just have enhances senses and speed etc, so thats why its super bull (New hero name)

The old Wolvy didn't die and come back, struggled with people and didn't kick around Namor when he is nothing special compared to him.

Yeah the "old Wolverine" just smacked around guys like the Wendigo and Kierrok. 🙄

The bios don't mean anything. They are nitorously inaccurate and most importantly they aren't ment to be taken at face value. They are companion/collectors pieces, they aren't the holy gossiple of Marvel... and every bio of Wolverine lists him as having a healing factor. What do you think his healing factor does exactly? Are you of the impression that anything bigger then a paper cut will take days to heal or something? It more then compinsates for the damage big time brusiers dish out, and it always has.

EDIT: Is "virtually invulnerable" enough of a durability statement for you?

He didn't mean his skin (when he still gets shot and is hurt) he meant he can take lots of damage. His body should take the damage it does, well at least be concious anyway, but no he still is which is bullshit.

Thats why Logan sucks. I will talk more but Jekyle s on. 😛
