Oh, and you do, then?

There is no such thing as a "good movie". It all comes down to people's opinion, and preference.

Yeah, I guess you're right....

The Godfather is the worst piece of crap ever of a movie brought down to earth, and every copy of it should be burned. 😖hifty:

Weak story points:
1) Peter's "people like me" ego in the beginning made him selfish & unlikeable. His crying made him girlie and annoying. His change & dancing to Travolta/Borat when possessed made him ridiculous. Him asking help from Harry at the end made him simply weak. How does a Spidey fan not even like Spidey in his own film? Peter should never have kissed Gwen upside down.

2) Why doesn't Peter tell MJ about Harry and the fight they had? She is his girlfriend and obviously knows he is Spidey.

3) The symbiote costume is simply that... a costume that Peter puts in his drawer. What happened to it morphing to street clothes and slowly making Peter an unlikeable & dangerous bad guy? Dangerous... not Borat.

4) Spidey was thrown into and through bricks and buildings. He was banged around metal beams and the ground. The Sandman hammered away at him like 5 or 6 times and Spidey's chest did not cave in. What is he, Wolverine times 10 with the healing factor? Spit up blood or something. I must also add this... how ridiculous and annoying was that british female newscaster who kept reporting about Spidey's situation? "How much more can he take, ladies and gentlemen?" Ughhhh.

5) MJ was unlikeable because here she knows that her boyfriend is Spidey. He risks his life daily, and she was totally selfish towards him. Even to the point of kissing Harry. The theater groaned when she did that. She stayed unlikeable throughout the film. No one cared when she and Peter looked in each others eyes at the end. In fact, people were happy the film was over. Oh yeah, who told Kirsten Dunst that she can sing?

6) Gwen Stacy... underused. Sandman... underused. Venom ( oh excuse me, he has no name)... underused. Stick with what has worked for you in the first 2 films. 1 villian, with maybe a 2nd lurking. Better character development when done that way.

7) When MJ is threatened by Harry, why doesn't she signal Peter, while breaking up with him, that Harry is behind this farce? A small signal... a wink, a nod, a silent word (danger). He is freaking Spider-Man. Warn him!!! Say anything!!!! God, that was frustrating. Did she forget she was dating a superhero???

8) Doc Connors is shown a piece of the symbiote by Peter. Doc is amazed at what he sees and says I have never seen anything like it ever. What stopped him from calling NASA or someone, seeing he has clearly something from out of this world? No, he calls back Peter and tells him that he hopes he is not wearing this symbiote. What??? Doc is a smart guy and should have put 2 and 2 together seeing Spidey is wearing all black and is acting different. It should have been Spider-Man approaching Doc about getting his new black costume checked out. Then when Doc realizes it's dark nature, he warns Spidey. Much like in the comics when Spidey approached Reed Richards.

9) Too many coincidences. A meteor with a symbiote just happens to land near Peter. Eddie Brock Jr. works at the Bugle and is dating Gwen Stacy who happens to be Peter's lab partner and his #1 competition as photographer. Gwen's dad is a police captain who happens to call in Peter and aunt May about Sandman killing uncle Ben, and Gwen happens to need rescuing from a building that is falling apart... etc. Believe me, the list continues.

Strong Point
1) I thought Bruce Campbell was the best and funniest thing in this film. Keep him coming back.

Congrat to the film for making 148 million plus, but it is not a good film.

1)I think if anyone had that kind of fanfare they would be a little bit full of themselves. And with all the crap that happens in the movie why wouldn't he cry? The woman of his dreams leaves him and his best friend dies, why wouldn't you cry if that happened? As for his dance down the street he was supposed to look ridiculous! That's why it was such a comical scene. And he asked for help on several occasions in the comics, do we recall him asking Venom for help against carnage?he'd be stupid not to ask for it.

2)Peter isn't going to tell her that! Harry is one of her best friends along with his. She'd nag the hell out of him for it.

3) I don't know exactly why they made it into a normal outfit I guess Raimi just thought it'd be better that way, or maybe it was a little too much money than he wanted to spend since it was unnecessary.

4) They were probably trying to keep it so that parents would let their kids see it. And it's obvious they aren't making Spider-man's chest cave in anytime soon. As for the British reporter get used to people with accents they're all over the place.

5)She was like that in the comics to, she always got mad at him for leaving. Try reading some more of the comics especially the beginning of the maximum carnage series she gets ticked when he helps Venom.

6)I suspect he originally only wanted Sandman and New Goblin as the villains but Venom fans made him change his mind so he added him in, and figured why not add in Gwen Stacy as well.

7)She's scared, for her and Peter. Pete might be a superhero and be brave, but that doesn't mean she is. And she doesn't know how powerful Harry is for all she knows he could pwn peter in a minute.

8)Yeah that didn't make a lot of sense.

9)It's the comic book universe! Everything is coincidental! You don't find it odd that none of these characters come along until Peter turns into Spider-man?

I thought the movie was cheesy, lame, and corny. My expectations were way too high but for me it was just ok. I still found the film entertaining to watch.

i honestly dont see why you are complainingso much about shot of toby crotch and ass...i think you guys were actually looking too much for it..cos i wasnt even paying attention.

You don't know what makes a good movie. The writing was poor, the acting was poor, the story was so different from the comic book that they might as well make it a completely different superhero movie. The plot development was non-existant, there was way too much drama, EVERYTHING was wrong.

Yeah they should've gone with secret wars storyline imo

2) Peter needs to tell her about Harry just for sake of safety. I'm sure your folks did not let you play with certain kids they felt would be dangerous or a bad influence for you. MJ should have known.

4) Then what you have is a campy superhero movie where someone can get thrown all about and his hair doesn't mess up. Much like the James Bond Roger More movies. That was not how the first 2 Spider-Man films were. As for the reporter, who cares if she was British. That was a weird and ridiculous comment by you as if I hated her because she was a different nationality. Not even close. It sucked to hear a play by play like the producers were trying it illicit sad feeling from the audience. Not needed and campy again.

7) Weak answer. Sorry. He is Spider-Man. She knows it. He could save her. Plus... if Peter told her about Harry to begin with, she never would have gone to Harry's home and started kissing him. Weak story plot.

9) The movie was not good, especially compared to parts 1 or 2.

2. Lol. So you'd like for Pete to treat her like a child? Harry hadn't done anything to her, he'd even giver her flowers at the play. Not only that. Who said Pete was infallible? He didn't know what was going through Harry's head either, he didn't know what he wanted and apparently hadn't talked to him since the bedroom scene. I wouldn't tell my love anything either if I didn't have more parts to the puzzle than that.

4. It was obvious that he was being hurt, his costume was ripped and he was out of breath. If you wanted him to bleed everywhere then I guess they didn't satisfy you. Tough shit, walk it off.

7. Right. Because Mary Jane can ever be afraid of anything ever. Even though one of the best friends of her life just swooped in to her apartment and kidnapped her and is obviously watching her every move.

9. Funny how you commented that the rebuttal to #7 was a weak answer when all you've got is "The movie wasn't good" If you have a problem with coincidences then don't watch any movie or read any fictional book ever. They're filled with them.

i agree.. whats funny is that everybody who saw this movie thought the same damn thing...same mistakes same stupid moments, how come people at sony and the screenwriter along with sam raimi didnt catch these moments....

Yes...yes they could have. There are many more movies out there with much more subject content piled into the film while still connecting together seamlessly. It was an example of poor craftsmenship plain and simple. The Spiderman 3 film was nothing more than a product of a product rushed out of the assembly line to sell more products.

I agree, it still could have been better even with all the story arcs, mainly taking itself seriously and getting rid of all the useless humour seens and then replacing them with character development. As well as having the Black suit on Peter be something more then "another suit". There are numerous other things but I'm too lazy to type them out now. Basically they did only an OK job with the movie, it still had room for huge improvement but I still maintain that the Sandman arc should have been left out completely.

Are we going to have the same discussion again? Part 3 is awesome and made 150 million in one weekend. How can you guys say its not good?

As long as we have Raimi directing these movies and sony producing them, thats pretty much what were always going to be in store for the rest of the way as well. That describes the first two movies to a tee-cheesy,lame, and corny so it would have been pretty silly to think THIS one would be any different.

I'm not sure what planet you guys live on, but on Earth Spider-man just made 150 million in its first weekend. It broke all the box office records. How could it be lame?
