I searched my zip code a while back. I love how 99% of the offenders lived between 14th st. and 6th st. Since the YMCA is on 10th, and the Science Center place is on 12th. I thought it was funny....because those are two places kids would hang out. And it's a bit scary since I work at the Science Center and my shift usually doesn't end till after dark.

seriously. im more worried about running into the scumbag that will shoot a person dead for $20. i dont think kiddie fondlers present an immediate threat.

some people just like the drama that comes with fear, and the subsequent macho glory of owning a gun and dreaming up statistically moot scenarios of some stranger tearing through their home and raping children, since its the only scenario where they wouldnt be facing murder or manslaughter charges for hunting down and killing someone.

People have a right to know if those sick things are in their neighborhood, so they can protect there kids. And as I said if they did shoot a pedophile (In self defence) it would be the best use a gun has ever had.

see what i mean. fantasy scenarios when in all likelyhood the victims parents will never catch the rapist in the act. its all a setup for revenge killing, veiled under "self defense".

How could you shoot a pedophile and think that self defense would hold up in court? It's not like the average child molester is Rambo or something. Unless you're like 11 you should never be in much danger from a pedophile.

Parents should be responsible and supervise their children whether child predators are around or not.

I agree parents should monitor their children and be more responsible but getting those things out of society is a very worthy endeavor as well.
