The Dark Knight.
Batman Begins.
V For Vendetta [despite not being as good as a comic, still adapted unfaithfully into a very great movie]
Everything else just seems foolish, lackluster, and downright campy after that. Though I do consider a lot of the other films fun and cool, Batman has raised the bar too high to be approached by campy bash-em-ups.

The Batman franchise is beyond approach of one liners, strung together fanboy moments, and flashy CGI. It's just great filmwork through and through.

casting?
come on, Robert Downey Jnr is the best casting in comicbook movie history😂
Best
The Dark Knight
Iron Man
The Incredible Hulk
300
Superman II(Specifically, the Donner cut)
Hellboy I/II
Sin City
Batmen (Burton)
X-Men
Spiderman
Wanted (Shaddap, I liked it)
Worst
Batmen (Schmuck)
Elektra
AvP
Spidey 3
Catwoman
Steel
Hulk
Blade: Trinity
Yeah, I didn't follow the rules....and, there's no particular order. Eh.

The only better casting than Robert Downey Jr. was Patrick Stewart as Professor X.
Oh yeah. That's the one casting choice that never changed throughout all those years of production hell for X-Men.
I think Iron Man had better casting, although. I definitely think Robert Downey, Jr. plays Tony Stark better than Christian Bale plays Bruce Wayne.
Originally posted by ScarletSpeedWell depends on what you mean by casting. Downey Jr. looks the most alike the character he's playing out of all character's in all comic based movies but Heath Ledger gave the best performance. 😄

Originally posted by celestialdemonI don't think so. Bale nailed it pretty hard as Wayne in The Dark Knight. Although Stark is generally a m ore interesting character.

Clearly the talent in Batman movies is a landslide comparatively, when the primary Iron Man actor couldn't out-act any of a dozen support characters, let alone the main characters in Batman.
I'm talking about acting, not cheesy one-liners.
Bale
Ledger
Micheal Cane
Liam Neeson
Morgan Freeman
Gary Oldman
Ken Watanabe
All are far better actors.
Iron man was great, I loved the movie, but in every way you can critique a movie, from acting, directing, soundtrack, cinematography, dialogue, complexity, etc.. both Batman movies were far superior to any other in the "superhero movie" genre, so far that movies like Iron Man and Xmen and Hulk belong closer to Catwoman and Electra than they do to Batman Begins and Dark Knight. Period.
