After Thor totally sexes Moondragon, he crushed coal into a diamond.

I haven't read through this whole thread so I don't know if this has been mentioned yet but...

This is dishonest. Moondragon is controlling Thor's mind at this point and makes him THINK that he crushed a coal into diamond to boost his confidence. The next page shows that really he crushed the coal into dust, and Moondragon comments that crushing a coal into diamond is impossible.

It says it right on the page... I just wanted to show him sexing Moondragon.

Thor is going to wreak havok in Secret Invasion i can't wait. I like how everybody gets all hyped when Thor comes and Nick Fury says "My god has a hammer".

Has anyone posted scans from the Thor One-shot comics from matt fraction ?

theres some good fights in them from thor.

From The Secret Wars:

Thor destroys a giant rock with his Mjolnir.

Cool.

Say could he not control that storm with MJOLNIR?

He enjoyed the storm and he was in his element if I'm not mistaken. If that guy has the previous page, it should state that.

Thor vs Hosaain Tarree

Thor vs Griffin

Regarding Thor: Truth of History, what was really impressive about that for me was this: In order for that erosion to be visible on the sphinx thousands of years later, that storm had to have lasted for a long time, possibly years.

That means that Thor started a rainstorm and maintained it for years without even directly supervising it

thor resurrects the spirit of captain america:

======

knocks out the world's communications for 60 seconds, in order to honor cap with a 'minute of silence':

Badass.

Hell yeah.

As the might hammer Mjonir returns, as always, to the hand of the thunder god he smiles. His exultation in the unbridled fury of the elements is only redoubled by the flush of victory. << That is just hilarious what they said there about how prideful Thor feels like yeah I kicked your ass.

thor vs superskrull who was beating on any and all asgardians in it's path, thor shows good durabilty as he is slashed by stormbreaker axe and has cosmic fire sprayed at him:

no suprises supskrull isn't dead and throws stormbreaker at broxton, thor must intercept:

thor does and come back with both hammer(badass) the art looks sweet aswell , he proceed to drop midgard on the superskrull but lifts it with beta ray bill :

...continues:

I thought the above was a fairly weak showing. Oddly, for some reason Marvel can't seem to consistently write top tier characters.

We have already seen that storm breaker can plow a planet so though the showing is not what I would have liked, its isn't to bad either. My real plight with thor is the fact that no writer seems to get him like Straczynski. Although his arcs are running on the slow side his charactization of thor is top notch. Thor seems to have grown in character which is to be expected after what he went through with ragnarok. Most writers dont seem to get that and write him as if hes the same braggart pre ragnarok. Loeb can't even get his frame of speech right, Benis is only using him for show in secret invasion, and fractions tie in is nothing but filler. I am waiting on Stracynski to show thor cut loose before I make judgements on his characterization of his power but so far he does seem to realize that theirs more to thors power than throwing his hammer at things. The book that I am looking forward to is Thor 600 in which it appears the father of odin will be resurrected. I wonder if resurrecting Bor is part of Loki's plan

I simply don't understand why it's so hard for Marvel to write top tier characters. DC does a fantastic job, I don't see the problem?
