its hypocritical to set ethical standards to your own practices.
first pot was bad and ruined lives and made people retarded.
now since you smokes a bit, its OK as long as its once in a blue moon.
then if you decide to smoke more it may become "its ok on the weekends, but thats the line",
and what if you develope a habit and quit? then it will likely be an evil life wrecking drug again which nobody should touch.
its simply a plant. it has no ethics, standards, or morals. people however do and its not absolute in the least.
in other words you certainly have a right to your opinion, as well as the right to smoke as much as you wish or none at all.
however you have no right to draw a line of ethics based on your own preference and impose that in how you appraise a drug other people who use them, imho.

No, I had set standards BEFORE I smoked pot, thinking that if anyone ever even touched a blunt they were destined for death but now that I have smoked it, I'm fine, everyone else that's done it is fine so I see NO reason why this has got out of hand in calling me a hypocrite. Now that I know it's not that bad of a thing, THAT'S why I say it's okay to do it every once in a while as long as it isn't habitual..
How do you know it isn't fine when it's habitual? You were wrong before.

if this is your own personal standard, then fine. if this is a standard that you would impose on others, than its not fine. whether or not you are being hypocritical depends on just that
i for one went on allout pot binges during breaks in college, and was stoned practically 24/7. once school started up i dropped it. others, however, have alot of trouble doing so and are addicted.
my point being i cant very well say that nobody can become addicted, and everyone should smoke as much as they please, based on my own preferences and experiences, strengths/weaknesses etc.

everyone is diffrent. wether it be drugs or alcohol. for instance when im blown after a blunt im even more melowed out. but some people can get a trip that can really mess em up. same with beer. i can drink and im very quiet. others can be loud and violent.
naturalistic fallacy:
moving from a statement of fact to a statement of worth
example:
X lowers your chance of survival, therefore X is bad
its a logical fallacy 🙂 Basically, the only way that the negative implications of drugs on the body are considered evidence of their "baddness" is if the major premise of your moral system is that human life must be maintained at all costs at a certain level of health.

Correction:
Only drug-addicts and trolls trying to start an argument need to justify drug use.
When you post something after saying "Correction:", I find it's best if that something is actually, you know, correct. Instead of embarrassing and illogical generalizations that you're not backing up in any way.
Just a thought.
