You got the initial definition wrong, and the challenge is there.
I said any issue, since you believe your musical mind is so far advanced. We both know you won't, because we both know it's talk, don't we?
Fact isn't up for debate, quite right, so that's precisely why you're not going to show up.

You silly silly boy 😛
I did not mean in knowledge 😄
I meant in a sense of appreciation 🙂
You have got me all wrong vin
Okay AC.
I don't like debating...
But most people know it as the softer side to punk.
I'd say it's way different then the "Pop" I know of.
And yeah some of the "Emo" bands are more.. Bubble gum sounding. But it's defiantly different that "Pop" music now adays.
Times change along with the music. Styles change with the times. Then "Meanings" to certain styles may be different...

You should have thought of that prior to trying to tell me about music.
Most people know it wrong, and I have facts and music history backing me up.
It's defiantly different to Britney etc, sure. However, that just means it's a different kind of pop, it's the pop OF nowadays, do you not understand that? The fact that you would be ashamed, as the bands are, to carry a label that so obviously applies to what you like or what THEY do, does not mean it is not the right label. You think pop is Britney, Jessica Simpson etc, and it's not just that. Panic are a pop band, Good Charlotte are a pop band, My Chemical Romance are a pop band. They are today's pop bands that 13 and 14 year olds love, they make pop music.
You not liking this does not mean you can throw them in the same genre as The Appleseed Cast, it doesn't work that way.
The fact of the matter is, those bands you named are not emo bands. They do not make emo music. Emo "scene" and emo music genre are two different things, and just because you are a part of the former does not make you part of the latter.
Nothing has changed, emo music is still what it basically meant in the 80s, and those bands I mentioned are proof.
The fact of the matter is you were wrong on both counts. Emo, regarding music, does not mean emotional, it means emotive hardcore (punk). That is a musical history fact. Those bands you mentioned are not emotive hardcore bands, ergo; they do not make emo music.
It's really not that hard to understand. If you can't use the label gun correctly, do not use it at all.
