I actually did have a question though. Can firestorm use his power to amp-up any other character(s)?

It seems to me like he should be able to. 😮

That's actually a really good question IW!

In short,
My answer is that FS can amp other characters, in a manner of speaking...

======

When Firestorm encountered a then human Killer Frost, she still had a "metagene", but it had long since been inactive, [ie. she was completely powerless] -- So Firestorm used his transmutation powers, to re-energize Killer Frost:

----------

But after Firestorm re-powered her, KF was even more powerful then she had ever been before:

----------

However,
What Firestorm giveth, Firestorm can taketh away, [and more]:

======

Hope that answered your question. 😊

FS puts the beat-down on a legion of Multiplex clones...

He defeats them in a variety of ways including,
Transmutation into granite, and ice -- Use of constructs -- And/or flat-out blasting them into oblivion:

----------

Firestorm then goes on to pwn the 'real' Multiplex -- With a single hit:

Firestorm merges with the Professor -- [whom happened to be in a completely different location]:

======

Due to Jason's ability to see across the various energy spectrums' -- Catching an invisible opponent isn't that big of a deal:

======

Firestorm defeats the Pionic Man -- By turning him back into his original energy-like state:

The villain called Tokomak established a mental link between himself and Firehawk -- Then ordered her to kill Jason...

Jason was able to sever this connection, by merging Lorraine to the FS-Matrix:

======

Firestorm "Unfuses" Tokomak... Which ended up killing the villain:

Firestorm manipulates, and absorbs, a Subatomic Wormhole:

Firestorm merges with Prof. Stein, [whom once again, was in a completely different location]:

======

Jason stops a cluster of bullets being fired at him in mid-air,
Transmutes those bullets into ping-pong balls, filled with an anesthetic gas,
Neutralizes his enemies with said gas,
And turns a bomb, into a Jack-In-The-Box: 😂

======

Just another scan of Jason phasing through solid matter:

thanks for the help! firestorm rocks! . . . .

band

😂

No problem. 😊

Turns the thousands upon thousands of microscopic machines that make up an OMAC's armor, into water:

The current Firestorm is about to havea KICK ASS fight in an upcoming countdown. I cannot wait.

These next panels are from the opening pages of different Firestorm issues -- They both speak of the Universal forces FS can tap:

Meh. gm

FS creates an 'intelligent' construct, that is able to give him very precise readings on his surroundings, [the Sun in this case]:

======

Manifests a couple test-tubes to contain radioactive material, so the Professor can analyze it later:

*The entire battle between an amped up Kalibak, and Firestorm*

----------

Notice that Jason actually throws fisticuffs with Kalibak for a few panels, [pretty impressive, especially when you consider not even Orion was able to do that].

Also note that FS could have gone intangible at any point during this battle -- but opted not to do so, because he had another plan for Kalibak:

The members of the FS-Matrix slow the atoms around Killer Frost, [who was in the process of absorbing the Sun], all the way down -- forming an 'absolute zero' prison:

Interesting.

Dunno what, exactly, this means. Maybe Galan'll explain.

Well,
Professor Stein is perma-linked to the Matrix in some way, [as he IS Firestorm's Elemental half] -- This link is more then likely what enabled Desaad to enter the FS-Matrix.

I am very curious to see what Desaad does with the FS power though, [as Ronnie/Jason were notorious for holding back].

I gathered that he used Stein.

I'm asking how. How does one exploit that link? Is it a spiritual thing? Is it an imperceptible energy link? Why did he need to cause Stein such pain first?

From what I've seen, the link is mental/spiritual -- Desaad may have overrode Stein's consciousness to accomplish this?? I really can't say for sure at this point.

As far as causing Stein so much pain before hand -- That's what Desaad does. That's his role on Apokolips.

I'm sure the torture aided in 'breaking' Stein though, (as he possesses an extremely formidable mind)...

Now that's a scary image. fear Desaad is someone who is smart enough to really abuse that power and be almost unstoppable with it. Plus, he's a new god, he won't burn out as fast a human, right?

Can you imagine that kind of power in the hands of someone who actually wants to hurt other characters with it?

To be honest, I am anxious to see how well Desaad can control the FS energy.

I don't really know. It's a sound theory, but I haven't seen much from Desaad in the stamina department.
