I am not here to debate.

Well, then you need to take your belief up with God because according to His Word He is in Heaven and there is a Hell (He prepared or created it for the devil and his angels i.e. demons).

Question: do you believe in wind, gravity, or radio frequencies? You cannot see any of those examples and yet they exist whether you want them to or not, and whether you believe that they do or not. Isn't that right Ashestoahesjc?

You are correct. But isn't this a board for debating? You put up some great arguments... though some condradicted themselves... 😄 Have a blessed day...

do you see how you contradicted yourself.

you said denominations means nothing to God, because he did not create them.

did God create the Bible? did he sit down, write it, and pass it us? (and dont start with the Old Testament stories of how he passed his word down).

we can start a whole philosophical discussion but

i have to go. i have chem to study.

so answer me, if i commit mass murders and repent. will i enter heaven?

That type of hypothetical question is not mine to answer. But if I were God and you deliberately committed mass murder I would not let you into Heaven. Your question is ridiculous because no true, born again believer would do that. If he/she did I do not believe that he/she would go to Heaven because God judges the heart and actions together. What kind of heart would you have to have in order to commit mass murder? Definitely not a heart that was ever truly saved and washed from from sin.

Well, not necessarily. I have not read anywhere where it says, "Thou shalt argue with your neighbor." I believe that this forum exists simply for follks to exchange their ideas and thoughts with one another.

I have? I have put up some great arguments? Why...why thank you Ashestoashesjc.

You have a blessed day too!

😄

Just so there is no confusion, God created Hell for the devil and his angels.

If that's a fact... then wouldn't people sin then repent then just sin again? It's a never ending cycle of lies and deceit...

Just get back on track and endeavor to live a holy life, and ask God to help you (but you can only do all of this once you are actually saved first).

I wonder how long it took God to come up with Microwaves.

Why?

Because apparently without microwaves the world wouldn't function right...

Some people just aren't made for the faith... you can't recruit everyone to become a full-on life devoting Christian like you. Some people like me are better off without religion. I study numerous religions, but I'm not apart of any... that's just fine with me...

I am a Christian because I believe that Jesus rose from death.

I am a Universalist Christian because I believe that God so loved the world, with such an unconditional love, that he is not going to send one of his humans to hell. I believe that on Judgement Day Jesus will not suddenly turn into an Avenging Angel and smite the wicked. I believe he will forgive them, as he has taught us to do, because I believe that Jesus is not a hypocrite. I believe he follows his own teachings. I believe that Jesus does not judge us for our errors.

I believe that it is impossible to know God perfectly, although I will never stop asking questions about my faith or about him.

I believe that science and religion can coexist peacefully, that it is not heretical to say that God might have put into emotion evolution. I believe that there are many wonders in this universe and I will never know, nor do I intend to try to know or explain away them all by simple answers.

I believe the bible has errors, because it was written by men and then translated through centuries. The material that was chosen to put in it was picked by men, and the material that was chosen to be left out was also picked by men. Moses wrote what happened in Abraham's time; therefore things must have been passed down orally; things must have been embellished.

I also believe that after this post you will tell me I am not a true Christian in my heart. I believe that I will ignore that statement.

I have not evaded your question.

This makes total sense to me. That feels right more then anything Ive read so far in this whole religion forum.

They're so damn cool, I just don't think he could do it.

Now the great FSM, HE could do it. And did!

But following Jesus Christ is not a religion, it's a relationship.

I believe I know what you're saying, but even so, how is it a relationship?

:edit: Also if you read the description for the General Topics board it clearly states that it is a place to "Debate topics with your fellow posters"

Thank you, Shelbert Lemon. I came to these conclusions through a great deal of study, inward reflection, and discussion. I'm glad that they could... help? ... you. 🙂

We cannot relate to God by our feelings, we must relate to God by faith. Feelings are too fickle and change from one moment to the next. The Bible states in 2 Corinthians 5:7 that the just shall live by faith. Faith is based on what God has said in His Word. The Word of God never changes so our faith should be based on God's Word.

JIA, you seem to making a lot of proclomations about he contentsof people's hearts - jugding them, telling them that they need to repent... etc.

That's going directly against Jesus' teaching not to judge others. "Cast out the beam in thine own eye..." eh?\

But I think the think that angers me the most about you is that you're giving Chrstianity a bad, fanatical name.

Simple: Jesus is my Lord and Savior and I am His child (that Ashestoashesjc is a relationship).

I know technically it may say that but I just don't like the term because it sounds so antagonistic.

Some very interesting conclusions you came to. Tell me, if Jesus did somehow manage to come back from the dead, why is there no concrete evidence to support this. Why is Jesus the only person that can do this? In all recored human history not one single person has been proved to have come back from the dead. It's false, it did not happen.

Judgement day? Not going to happen the way you believe it will. Yes one day the EARTH, will be destroyed, but by then I'm sure we'd have moved planet.

I agree with you on what you said about the bible.

Saying that "God" had some part in Evolution is a joke, why should anything have a part in it? Why should God get credit for it? Why does it need something to have had a hand in it?

I think it's good that you won't stop asking questions about your faith, as if you are open minded and continue you ask those questions you'll get the answers that show you just how wrong Christianity is.

No, I don't see any contradiction.

I believe that you are misunderstand what I mean. Well, God did not create denominations.

All Scripture was given by inspiration of God (so yes the Bible is God's Word).
