As in a game of chess, I can predict your next move after this one.I am a Christian because I believe that Jesus rose from death.
I am a Universalist Christian because I believe that God so loved the world, with such an unconditional love, that he is not going to send one of his humans to hell. I believe that on Judgement Day Jesus will not suddenly turn into an Avenging Angel and smite the wicked. I believe he will forgive them, as he has taught us to do, because I believe that Jesus is not a hypocrite. I believe he follows his own teachings. I believe that Jesus does not judge us for our errors.
I believe that it is impossible to know God perfectly, although I will never stop asking questions about my faith or about him.
I believe that science and religion can coexist peacefully, that it is not heretical to say that God might have put into emotion evolution. I believe that there are many wonders in this universe and I will never know, nor do I intend to try to know or explain away them all by simple answers.
I believe the bible has errors, because it was written by men and then translated through centuries. The material that was chosen to put in it was picked by men, and the material that was chosen to be left out was also picked by men. Moses wrote what happened in Abraham's time; therefore things must have been passed down orally; things must have been embellished.
I also believe that after this post you will tell me I am not a true Christian in my heart. I believe that I will ignore that statement.
I have not evaded your question.
Some very interesting conclusions you came to. Tell me, if Jesus did somehow manage to come back from the dead, why is there no concrete evidence to support this. Why is Jesus the only person that can do this? In all recored human history not one single person has been proved to have come back from the dead. It's false, it did not happen.
Judgement day? Not going to happen the way you believe it will. Yes one day the EARTH, will be destroyed, but by then I'm sure we'd have moved planet.
I agree with you on what you said about the bible.
Saying that "God" had some part in Evolution is a joke, why should anything have a part in it? Why should God get credit for it? Why does it need something to have had a hand in it?
I think it's good that you won't stop asking questions about your faith, as if you are open minded and continue you ask those questions you'll get the answers that show you just how wrong Christianity is.
