Secondly, I believe Heaven and Hell are both mental embodiments, meaning that they can only exist if you want them to exist. Beyond that we cannot know what exists in the afterlife, perhaps our souls float around aimlessly or dissolve into nothing. MY perspective though, is that if you don't believe in them they don't exist, just my philosophy...

Well, then you need to take your belief up with God because according to His Word He is in Heaven and there is a Hell (He prepared or created it for the devil and his angels i.e. demons).
Question: do you believe in wind, gravity, or radio frequencies? You cannot see any of those examples and yet they exist whether you want them to or not, and whether you believe that they do or not. Isn't that right Ashestoahesjc?

God does not hear the prayers of those who are not His children (i.e. sinners). Once you are saved then you are God's child and He will hear your prayers.
