Silver Surfer Requiem

But it was such a stupid joke since Thanos isn't behind anyone's death. He can't be. Or do you actually think it's funny implying that?

There's obviously bad blood between Thanos and Nova. You read Nova's comment didn't you? Or didn't you read Annihilation at all? Either way

Yes he could.....whta makes it that he can't be?We've seen he's in good health, and i doubt Thanos would stop Nova from saving a universe he once destroyeed then willingly brought back.

Why u would take up such an issue is ridiciculous, and you continuing it after you found out it's a joke is the saddest part of all.

The thing that's truly sad is your need to try and insult me 🙂

Sigh....hypocrits......

No, I tried to make you laugh 🙂

You always think everyone's out to get you, and then get all fired up.

When you can show me that you can write better then either of them , THEN you can say you could do better.

Though you can obviously write better then Hudlin or Mcduffie.

So I suppose you have never criticised a comic before in your life ?

Yeah RIGHT !!! 🙄

Drop the 'IM Holyier than thou' routine. Its just pissing people off.

No your pretentiousness is pissing people off. Unfortunately you didn't seem to learn this lesson quick enough before you received the....

I just read Issue 2. It was really good. Before SS leaves, he and Spidey contemplate on a solution to better the world. There's other stuff I really enjoyed about it but you'd have to read it.

Keeping with tradition...

If you really want to enjoy this comic in full glory, though, you should go out and buy it.
For only 3.99$ in the U.S., and for us Canadians, 4.75$, you think you have practically stole it, for the best read this month, and probably even this summer.
*So I don't get into trouble either*

You should really post some of those scans in Surfer's respect thread

I was thinking of it...
Laziness overcame.

Plus, if I posted them in the respect thread, I'd almost feel obligated to finish the thread myself, with almost all his feats...
But, again...

i just bought issue #1 yesterday, i really liked it its moving and all, but somethings didn´t made sense to me, for example when reed is saying how surfer is going to die he says that his heart and lungs will stop working, so what? he doens´t breath, technically he shouldn´t even have a hear or lungs he should be made of cosmic energy, but thats what i think (we all have seen him bleed before)

Powerful!

The simplest answer to this would be that different writers have different interpretations of what they believe SS' makeup is. Some have written him as flesh and blood beneath, but have have written that his skin is merely a shell. In any case, in this we simply have to assume that JMS went with the flesh and blood version, something that makes vague sense seeing how SS was created in his creation appearance.

Anyway, no matter which way he chose to do it, there would be believers of the other version questioning that call. This is one of the classiest comics I have read in a long time. Both issues one and two hit the nail on the head for characterisation. The F4 and Spiderman were played to perfection, and SS is written as he always should be-- philosophical, pacifist and basically space Jesus. The dialogue may seem self-absorbed at times, but it has certain great lines. Spiderman's thought train towards the end: "How sad that his voice was heard so little, when he had so much to say" epitomised the series thus far, and its portrayal of SS.

Great read thus far. I only hope they don't screw up the final ending, seeing if this is in continuity, SS survives.

Did SS just completely vaporize that guy?

But even if he was flesh and blood inside, he doens´t need a lung and a heart, he doen´t breath or eat, he lives in space.

Other thing, i do´nt know if he´s dying because of his previous fight with aegis and tenebrous, since galactus restore him, we´ll have to wait and see.

The story itslef i´m liking it so far nas surfer is like you saud philosophical and pacifist like he should be, i´m going to pick number 2 next week.

I thought it sounded like the standard character dying of cancer type story. The same thing happened in The Royal Tenenbaums. Although that ended up being a lie. Sorry to anyone who hasn't seen it.

And even sorrier to anyone who has.
