The Official Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 Thread

Seriously, not to mention you'll quit sooner due to fatigue. Imagine a really fat person using that damn thing.

Such comments are a testament to how little you know about the controls in the first place. It requires very little "shaking" to pull off moves. All it requires you to do is lightly move the nunchuck down to rush/dash. And doing special moves is even simpler because all you have to do is hold B and Z and move the Wiimote pointer slightly left, right, up, or down, depending on what move you want to do. It requires almost no physical movement at all. There is no way someone could become fatigued by using the Wiimote controls.

Really ?

I read that for certain special movies (Ie Kamehameha or Spirit Bomb) you would have to do similar hand motions to activate them.

No, its deceiving when they try to explain it. There really isnt any motion controls that resemble the actual movements that the DBZ characters do, you COULD do them, and they would work but once you know the minimum they require its nothing more then simple directional movements of the IR. So for example the "movement" they tell you to do for the Spirit Bomb is the hands above the head then throw down. But in reality what triggers the move is the upward movement of the IR pointer and that's it, so its not required at all.

I know enough about the controls, thank you.

People have been complaining of sore arms from using the wiimote. Fact.

Its not "fact"...lol..Show me these people, where are "they"? If you have sore arms from playing BT2 then you have serious problems. I played it when I got it for upwards of 8 hours straight and felt no different then if I was using a standard controller. Get back to me when you've actually USED the controls, until then be quiet because you really have no idea what your talking about.

Transformation for Brolly looks bad ass and personally id like the ps2 version of the game because i think ps2 is better than the wii and i know that will stir things up but i probly wouldnt go buy a wii just for this cause all the wii has is games you could get on the ps2 or gamecube... any way the people who do have a wii you will have to tell me if the online play kicks ass

Errr..I wont even go into how stupid a comment that is about the games. PS2 is last-gen and will die out soon enough anyways, if the PS3 wasn't selling so badly then you wouldn't even have been able to get this game for the PS2 because Sony would have stopped new games coming out for the PS2 long ago like Microsoft did with the X-box and Nintendo did with the Gamecube. Notice how in all the developer interviews etc its always the Wii version? That's because its the version that they want people to buy because it uses a current-Gen system. The only reason they even did a PS2 version was to make more money. But once the PS3 starts to pick up speed in 2008, don't expect many more games to be released for your beloved PS2 anymore.

How many new stages does DBZ:BT3 have?

Yes how many I think there is 14

😆 not at all

They just want to show off the control scheme...

for the general populace.. throwing your arms around to do a kamehameha is more exciting than pressing 2 or 3 buttons

plus theres the fact that they updated it from pure infrared in T2 to actual motion sensor in T3.. they want to make note of that hard work

The fact is that the PS2 is a dying system and is clinging to life because of the PS3's lack of sales. The industry automatically shifts to the newer tech. The developers wouldn't have made a PS2 version if the could have made their money back otherwise. Thats the way it works nobody WANTS to give a shit about The PS2 anymore, its dead tech but they have to to make money, they will stop makeing PS2 games as soon as they possibly can.

Why can't people like the PS2 version?

I love my PS2, and there are still SO many games I want for it... The PS2 is a timeless system, imo... It's like the SNES, the games will ALWAYS be good, no matter how much the technology advances...

So the whole console wars thing has been dragged into this thread as well huh? Figures...

Umm...wrong. The PS2 is the best selling console in history and is still around because it was the only one with any staying power at the end of the last generation (many people were actually pissed that Xbox & GC were just dumped by Microsoft and Nintendo). And correct me if I'm wrong, but the PS2 outsold all next-gen systems last Christmas, did it not? Obviously there is still demand.

The developer wants people to buy the Wii version? Riggghhttt... cause they'd rather sell to a crowd of about 11 million, then a crowd of 120 million? Developers would love to still make games for the PS2 because development costs are low and the install base drawfs all the next-gen systems combined, but consumers want next-gen games so that's what they're getting, but it ain't helping the developers.

If he wants the PS2 version and you want the Wii so be it. Stop trying to turn this thread into a flame war of PS2 vs Wii.

Apparently because ((The_Anomaly)) says so...

lol what?

the reason they made a ps2 ver. is because they know that a large percent of gamers still own a ps2.. its that simple

more people have ps2 than wii.. thats probably a fact.. but I dont care to check up on it

I'm just saying I like the PS2 better because it has more games i will always like ps2 more than wii even when it dies out im a hardcore ps2 fan and when they quit selling games for it ill still play on it

Same here... Like I said, PS2 is classic... It's timeless... It'll still be played a 20 yrs. from now (much like SNES)

Anyway, can't wait to play as Turles and Goku (Early)
