I swear that if this is true, then I'm done with the Spider-Man movies. I highly, highly doubt it, though.

There are all sorts of villains that could be used perfectly that aren't Morlun. Dozens, to be honest.
Though people disagree, I can see Carnage having a whole Spidey movie on his back.
Electro and Shocker could be possibilties, but they would need a new backstory IMO.
Rhino is too stupid and he only robs banks. As do the above, but like I said, give em a new motivation and maybe it will be watchable.
Maybe Hobgoblin could work, I suppose.

Shocker, Electro, Rhino, and Hobgoblin would all be much better than Carnage.

I can't see Carnage in a family Spider-Man movie, you can wish all you want but it won't happen, if Venom does get a Spin off then you can guarantee his appearance, spider-man however....no......not a chance.
Carnage appeared in the 90's TAS, one of the most family friendly shows I have ever seen. For god sake, Spiderman couldnt even punch people in that show.
Sure Carnage was extremely timid compared to his comic counterpart in the TAS. But, all that means is they have to dumb down the violence on his character in the movie. Also, after reading Maximum Carnage, I really dont see why people think Carnage is THAT extreme. (Feel free to call me out on the fact that I only read MC.)

I read that and well i hate Carnage, if Venom was criticised for his lack of humanity in Spider-Man 3 what will happen to Carnage.
I dont think anyone can criticise Venom for his lack of humanity, because we arent very sure if he is humane at all or not. Thats the problem with 15 minute characters (Raimi, you rat bastard...) He had absolutely no time to show us anything besides the obvious fact that he hated Spiderman. Sure, he did kidnap Mary Jane, but Venom has ALWAYS taken whatever means neccesary to get to Spiderman if I am correct. It seems like Venom always makes exceptions when killing Spiderman is involved.

Indeed in the comics he has a strange protection code for people, yet he is not above killing innocents or harming Spider-Mans family to get to him, yet at the same time he says he could not harm the likes of Aunt May, really he is undoubtedly insane, in the film i really did not see any of his personality traits at all, he never called himself Venom and all he did was shriek at Spider-Man during that film....bad idea Sam!

That didn't stop Venom from murdering a young cop in Amazing #300 while talking about how the taking of innocent life was such a waste.
Anyway, the whole "Leather Protector" was terrible. Turning Venom into an anti-hero killed the character.
