http://www.dedoimedo.com/physics/zero.html I found this site on what happens when absolute zero is reached. Not good stuff so I don't think boby could reach it and if he did he wouldn't like the results. Also just becaue supes has withstood close to absolute zero doesn't mean he can with stand absolute zero considering it the temperature at which all molecular activity ceases. Supes is still mad of molecules.

Just the same as he can fly through the core of a star and not loose all water in his body. If he was affected by the cold there would have been a loss of energy, heat and motion which there was none so his body is shielded from the outside environment or produces its own heat to countermand the effects.
tru but theres a dramatic scientific difference between close to absolute zero and actual blacc hole inducing absolute zero

Originally posted by dat_boiI’m not sure what you are getting at; there is no difference if Iceman does it or the cold of space. The cold affects him at the atomic structure both ways, Iceman doesn’t have control over his atomic structure he is removing the heat that movement generates.

Originally posted by Da Pittman1. there is a difference iceman could control the temperature of the moisture inside superman constantly dropping temp until he froze see the only reason he diddnt freez in deep space is cuz his body temp regulated and came to a constant but with ice man he could supercool his body so it dosent regulate2. i never sed ice man had atomic control i sed he could create a blacc hole which would dissassemble his atomic structure

Originally posted by dat_boiAnd what would prevent Superman’s body from regulating his body heat? Superman would be loosing body heat at an astronomical rate if exposed to near absolute zero and his body seemed to compensate in an instant. It would take far more energy to keep atoms at absolute zero then it would take to raise it.

Originally posted by dat_boiNot sure what you are saying, the volume of water that he can control is not and issue but that the body of Superman can regulate its heat in an instant. What prevents Superman’s atoms responding to the loss of heat? You also assume that Superman’s body is mostly water but being and alien that is not necessarily the case. I’m not even sure if Iceman can even remove the water from his body, I’m not a huge fan of Superman by any means in fact I hate the character so someone could elaborate if this is possible.

ok checc out the ice man appreciation thread the first few sets of panels should explain it all http://www.killermovies.com/forums/f98/t382722.html

very good plot but I just dont see it happening like that. If superman inhale bobby that would be the worst mistake that he has ever made. I dont see the story going like that though.
