That's why Claremont said "She is what she is, a 3 dimensional goddess if there ever was such a thing."

She can and should be able to beat Heralds easily.

According to DC, it is both Storm and that earlier incarnation of Phoenix that are equal in terms of raw power.

That incarnation beat firelord, Storm can do the same.

You can't renig when it doesn't suit your purposes of devaluing the character.
