I thought the alternate ending was terrible. The original ending wasn't great, but it was worlds better than that happy-sappy ending.

This movie sucked. Will Smith is terrible. They raped the book.

That was just MY opinion.... according to the movie it made, alot of people liked it. Then again, alot of people like the Tyler Perry movies(how can anyone like that crap?).

i had heard that the alternate ending was infact the original ending but the execs wanted it changed a month before release.

People have said that it is dumb because the zombies were all blood thirsty and dumb and then they just stop and could be reasoned with, but you have to remember that they did set that trap for smith, so they do have enough brains and reasoning to do that.

I do not understand why people found this ending more suitable. I thought the theatrical ending was better.

I thought the movie was pretty strong for the first twenty minutes, after that, I wasn't riveted so much. So either ending really doesn't matter to me.

I'm not a big fan of will smith's acting, but he did a good job with this character. I think, given a better screenplay and production decisions. This could have been a great movie carried on Smiths performance. It was a fun movie, but not very good. Their were to many plot points that were left un attended, the effects were ridiculously out of place and the addition of a nemesis , i think hurt the film

I think the first hour or so is actually very good.

The final act is quite weak.

Lousy CGI, though. The best scenes were just those of Smith with an empty, devestated New York as the backdrop, I feel.

I saw this last night. I didnt really like it, it never really reached out and grabbed me.
