The Pop-Ups Blocker feature does stops Pop-Ups when they occur. And when this happens, you see a yellow colored notification bar in your IE window as a sign of alert.

But sometimes, a few Pop-Ups manage to escape. So just ignore them.

ok, what about viruses?

Viruses can only be countered by an Anti-Virus program.

would it be more effective if i buy a program? (norton, symantec, etc)

The advantage of buying an Antivirus program is that you will be free from the "TRIAL" scenario.

Anyways, any antivirus program remains highly effective, as long as it is kept fully updated.

What is so wrong in that statement?

What else can deal with the threat of Viruses?

And if you want to know about the TOP Anti-virus programs, than say so and I will mention them.

Norton AntiVirus 2007 is surprisingly among the good ones now. It's previous versions have been disappointing though.

I however personally use AVG Anti-Virus PRO. It is less demanding in terms of resources and does it's job well.

another problem....

i forgot how to view/read my mail on AOL
