I was serious in a light hearted way...I was wanting to eat my words about how you were using "get over it" and I was trying to "call you out" and make you make me look like I was wrong so that other's would understand your position because it seemed that was what was happening at the time. Technically, it was for your benefit.

The problem is not general consensus on a cliché, the issue brought to your attention is that you are using the cliché in a different context as those posting around you. Explaining the contextual use of clichés can sometimes be nebulous but in this instance, it is not. You should better explain yourself if you are going to "argue" with people. (you know why its in quotes.) Besides, I started this whole conversation so that in the end, you could better defend your position but you instead, you are arguing with me about it.
