yes, but will bigger budget=better movie??

some people don't seem to think so

I don't know, but here's something I've started worrying about.

A bigger budget obviously means more money. More money means the possibility of being able to have a big, famous celebrity onboard. Let's use Tom Cruise as an example. If they pay big bucks for Tom Cruise to star in TF 2, my money is on all the camera being in love with Cruise. And thus, cutting TF bot screentime and also boosting the whole human interaction phase up a few notches. So we'de see more Tom Cruise, more dialogue, more Tom Cruise, more human related plot twists, a few flashy Bot bouts, Tom Cruise, a female protaginist dating Tom Cruise, hopefully not a love scene with Tom Cruise, a bitter ending where the goodguys (And Tom Cruise) save the world and the movie closes....with Tom Cruise.

Tom Cruise makes me sick

i just hope they'll spend most of the money on the Bots

Yup. Im totally one of those people.

Witness Die hard Vs. Die Hard 2.

I rest my case.

Witness Transformers 2! Working title: Tom Cruise Presents: Transformers 2!!

I liked it. Wish Jazz had been better portrayed & lived but I was happy Starscream didn't die. Wish he'd have talked more & got smart w/Megatron. I've heard they have a lil' argument in the deleted scenes. Can't wait for the DVD

Where'd you hear that?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 😘

Yeah...

IT was a Visual Masterpiece

Yeah the script kinda sucked( as do for most super action films), but who cared. Alll that visuals, and sound that were thrown at the audience must have left them numb. I was in shock for the first few mins after the film. Usually my little brother and I are talking as soon as it is over, but we were silent. LOL, its not until we left the cineplex, with legs shaking then we started talking.

No its not an intelligent film, some of the script should have been tidied up. Sam is real annoying sometimes, that Aussie chick needs to learn to talk more naturally, Megatron should have kicked more butt, whenever we have a film with lots of characters of course there wont be proper development, whats up with Bumblebee's voice, was he pretending all the time, shouldn't the all spark fix him? blah blah blah

I went to see and hear that Transformation sound. I went to see and hear and oh god feel( with surround sound that shook half of the multiplex) Optimus Prime for the first time. TO giggle at the stupidity of that garden scene. I went for those battles, taking anything out of a loved cartoon and bringing it to perfection in live action is always good.

Rating 9/10
( would have gotten 10 if they used more classic transformers lines and the theme in the end)

You wrote a good response similiar to my experience with the film. I saw the same flaws and the same highs as you did. Overall, a great film though.

Well I cared about the script, now that you mention it..... 😛

And as the last part of the review went, I'd agree with that if only we could watch the battles for ourselves and not just odd little moments out of the corner of the eye (POV wise) of whatever paperboy or pizzaguy just happens to be in the scene randomly.

I agree with your blah blah blah points though.

Watching those fights was like waiting 20 years to see peak Ali VS peak Tyson, then having the camera guy focus only on showing you shots of Tyson's shorts flashing past and lots of unneccesary closeups of Ali's boots, whilst randomly cutting to a conversation between the bucket boy and his wife.

And I was about to add that I like my visual masterpieces to have content as well as style.
But then I realised that the bit where Megan Fox is bent over the hood does actually warrant the description. 😛

Cloverfield's camera work makes the TF camera work seem like a masterpiece. Seriously, be thankful we actually saw SOMETHING in TF. Cloverfieled just....sucked...

not sure if anyone has posted this before, but i think its aces. ITs a reimagining of the duel between optimus prime and megatron from the animated movie, using CGI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfrJIaTsMSY

No one has posted that, but that vid is just amazing! My jaw fell to the floor when I saw that.

I give it an 8.5/10

The CGI was groundbreaking, and to think that the golden compass won best special effects in the academy awards was just ridiculous. They took a huge risk by having the film star an 11th grader, but I think it paid off... and the music was fantastic. The only thing I didn't like was that there seemed to be almost too many characters and there was some GOD AWFUl dialogue.

plus I know they probably had to stay true to the action figures or whatever... but the names for the robots were just stupid. Bumblebee?? give me a break.

Yeah, if they would've stuck to his vehicle form being a volkswagon, maybe it'd make more sense.

Well the names even in G1, allocated to each character based on something about their capability and or personality were specified only as codenames on Earth, (thier real names in their own language would be unpronouncable to humans) this they stuck to this concept in the Bay movie in a way.... by suggesting in an alternate name origin that Bumblebee took his name from the famous Muhammad Ali's "Float like a butterfly, sting like a Bee" thing.

But like Mr.Scythe, I prefer the original "Its because he is a Bug" explaination, that carried through to when Bumblebee became Goldbug.
(Who was a VW beetle too, but sprayed a golden colour in his alt mode.)

Makes sense. Prime was called convoy, since he is a convoy.

Also they went with western rename Optimus Prime apparently Bob Budiansky named him to mean "Best first" in latin. 🙂

Mhmm.
