Well actually the violet corps has a deep history with the GLC too. You know with the zamarons and the Star sapphire and all.

Star Sapphire can go back to being one woman again.

And Blackest Night is a DCU event. After the success of Sin Corps, Didio couldn't resist the chance to whore out it's follow up.

Dan showed a pic of him fighting what looked like Prime in Blackest Night.

Makes sense now.

And Prime will probably run through everything again if he does indeed appear in BK.

link?

Orange Corps looks like it's going to be awesome imo.

I'm cool with it as long as Didio doesn't lay a finger on the story and Ivan Reis and Ethan Van Sciver are the only artists on it.

Phillip Tan might be our saviour people.

All these creatures I'm trying to come up with, they don't work in one way. They don't just shoot power blasts out of their hands. They don't just go punch people

not sure how many ppl know about this or not but from the "blackest night' toy line its revealed that earth-2 Superman will be among the black Lanterns.

Yep and

Spoiler:
Martian Manhunter

Those are relatively old news, and who cares about the black lanterns?

Orange Lanterns will kick ass.

Thank goodness. The other thing about GL books is that you get a diversity in looks of aliens rather than you're standard human looking alien (Superman, Sinestro, Orion, etc.)

Amen.

I'm also wondering about the size of the Orange Corps. Sinestro Corps and GL corps looked roughly the same size in sheer numbers. Red Lanterns seem a bit more rare, hopefully Orange Lanterns will be fewer, but more powerful.

Maybe. Blue Lanterns were really powerful and it looked like they were just recruiting their third member last ish......

Why aren't you losers discussing GL 39?

Larfleeze is ****ing OP!!

In the latest interview with Geoff John's on ign, he talks more about the upcoming blackest night......

As we get closer to Blackest Night, though, things seem to be getting crazier by the issue, with all the Corps getting into the mix. How are you planning on maintaining that balance as all the Corps step onto center stage?

Johns: I've been very happy with how we've introduced certain characters such as Atrocitus, Saint Walker and now Agent Orange. I don't think there will be a lot of confusion moving forward. At least I hope not. When I get to Blackest Night and they all start to interact and it all erupts, I know it will be a lot of concepts to get familiar with, but hopefully I'm exploring and introducing everything the right way.

One thing you'll see is that they'll all affect each other differently. There are certain things certain rings do to other rings, and some of them don't affect each other at all. Some have a symbiotic relationship, like obviously the blue and the green, which you see in this issue. The blue rings are perhaps the most powerful, but there has to be a Green Lantern flying around nearby.

wow i love the established backstory for the orange lanterns, their past with the guardians.. lol they must of scared the shit out of the little bastards for them to just hand over the vega system and act like they didn't exist. freakin sweet, glad the controllers got killed i always hated them.

Anyone see the Blackest Night teasers? I really wasn't expecting

Spoiler:
Aquaman
of all people to be a Black Lantern...

it does seem that this whole event is going to be a true DC wide event, and not just a GL one with cameos from DC heroes in the main titles...

Hopefully the rest of the DC is there as fodders/support cast; no Lanterns should be upstaged by any other character except another Lantern. If anything, I'd like to see Larfleeze or Attrocitus a waste to Superman, and the JLA get decimated by the Red Lanterns.

Cool sig by the way Raoul.

Agreed and it's also implied from the solits that Bruce Wayne's gonna be a Lantern.....

Whilst the utility clad caveman might agree with you, the corpse in FC#6 wouldn't ✅

Also check out the cover art for the solits......

A lot of emphasis on Bruce Wayne's gravestone on both covers......
