It's not part of the EM spectrum so I don't agree with calling it hard light.

i changed it to 'willpower energy'

enough that i don't need you, at least...

also, just wanted to say thanks for the feedback. it's very helpful...

i think i got the hard light part from wiki and far too many kimiyo hoshi bios, my bad on that one. the passage now reads:

The Power Ring given to each Green Lantern officer is a psionically activated willpower energy generator. What this means is that the ring responds to the thoughts of the user, creating whatever shape the user is thinking of in the form of a large, translucent yet solid green object. The ring can create almost anything the user can conceive, from weapons to shields to equipment, and anything else the user might require. The ring also functions as a highly advanced medical and scientific scanner, and automatically translates any language the user might not understand (only seeming to have trouble with slang and swear-words).

Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever come up with something the ring couldn't replicate or do? just for example, could someone come up with a device or a construct beyond the ring's database or ability to reproduce?

And I'm not talking giant scale works, like what John Stewart tried to do. Something small scale, seemingly within the ring's power, but for some reason it can't do it.

finally figured out where i saw the hard light reference. it was in the dc encyclopedia:

Johns era power rings? Anything besides green baseball bats seems pretty hard to do.

You'd ber fine if there where more devices that turned speed into high frequency sound waves, and more a dead girlfriends in fridges.

Well technically if the ring is truly limited by the wearer's imagination all it would require is a....well...a wearer with limited imagination. It's obvious but if, hypothetically, the wearer struggled to imagine the object, it'd be hard to create ✅

To be honest, I'm not sure what I was asking. Maybe if the ring could create something the user didn't fully understand. Example, could it replicate a motherbox, or Ronan's hammer, etc?

But your answer is ingenius. 👆 Thanks. I suppose my next question is, how much can the ring do, and how much is dependant on the user's knowledge of the object in question? Like could it create Steel's hammer without knowing the characteristics/mechanisms?
