That isn't what you said.

You asked for instances in which NO energy projection was used AT ALL in fights that he actually WON.

So I GAVE them to you, despite the ridiculousness of that request.

Now I'm asking you to do the same for me.

Because if all you were talking about was fights in which Darkseid showed his durability and strength, there are plenty more I could point to, and have been pointed out to you, Foundations included.

ds tried using his omega beam and failed. he wasnt just punching.

Sure.

And Thanos used his energy projection against Thor. And against Gamora. And against every foe he has ever fought.

He wasn't just punching.

So, by your rules, they don't count as strength OR durability feats for Thanos, no?

when doomsday grabbed ahold of him he was utterly beaten up.

No one is doubting that. Hunter/Prey Doomsday was significantly above all other Doomsdays. He was evolving on the fly. Powered up Superman in that instance couldn't do anything to him. A million nuclear explosions couldn't do anything to him. They had to send him to the end of time to stop him.

And even in DOS, he supposedly moved "faster than the flash", so its no shame that Darkseid got beaten up before he could even defend himself (with his fists, that is).

in the raker fight after raker cut off his omega attack ds got thrown up and down.

Morg CHARGED through Thanos' energy attacked and nearly lobbed off his head!

im not saying ds sucks ass at hand to hand. but when he fights people and punches start hitting faces ds can and has gotten his ass kicked. thanos is so much more when it comes to physically engaging someone.

I'm asking for evidence. Give me a showing that is above the Orion/Darkseid fight from Orion 5. Give me anything here, that satisfies your own rules.

desaad which volume and which issue numbers did this thanos story take place in ff also please. im sure ill read it this summer.

Fantastic Four 370.

Here are the scans in question...keeping in mind that much of the fight was occurring off panel and Suzie was helping for all of it.

For the record, I still think Hunter/Prey was a terrible showing for Darkseid, for a number of reasons.

But it wasn't THAT bad. Not anywhere near Apokolips Now, in my mind.

Here is one of those combat scenes in which Thanos...well, Thanos gets embarassed, in my mind.

Gamora is fast, and she is strong, but she is dancing around him like he is NOTHING.

how i hate retcons like this. she was just wandering around and stumbled into the room where they were fighting by chance. sigh...i guess this retcon takes away thanos credit over beating his more powerful doppleganger. retcons ten years later that change things so drastically. is no event sacred. ok i believed u when u said this ill have to look into this and definitely read this whole affair this summer, thanks.

It wasn't a retcon that happened 10 years later.

This was an Infinity War tie-in. It would have happened maybe a week or two after the actual book came out.

in orion issue 5 ds lost and its becuz he shot energy out his eyes and it backfired on him. he used energy projection. page 18 or 19 i believe. is it ur contention that ds is more formidable at hand to hand than say thanos. i have continually stated that in most hand to hand fights there is usually some form or kind of energy projection taking place. but when ds powers fail him he cant rely on his fists to get him out of the jam at most times. thanos durablilty and hand to hand combat while throwing energy blasts here and there is far superior to ds. ds in my opinion is far more powerful than orion and should beat him almost everytime up until orion kills him if we stick to kirbys ds fate thing.

those tie ins are always important. Like when we found out SBP could retcon punch with out the crystal matrix.

You know he threw that fight against Orion, to allow him to rule Apokolips, right?

thanos trained her. if it came down to ahnos wanting her dead in one on one combat it would happen.

yes but he still used energy is my point. i knew he wanted to lose.

desaad i have ff 369 but not 370. with malice on the cover. dammit.

desaad do u know which issue numbers and what volume are the utility fog thanos defeat it. i want to read these and fast. i though i had all thanos apperacnes save the new current ff loss and the she hulk story. but i guess i missed this infinity war tie in.

desaad i alread got the issue numbers and should have read them by tomorrow night latest. ill respond back as to what i think about this matter soon as i am done reading this.

just finished reading ff 370. it makes more sense now. wasnt as crappy. when i just have the scans i dont see how the story is fleshed out. its hard to tell where a story is going on just scans. i guess thanos had help against his more powerful doppleganger. its canon. i cant argue with it, i accept it. 😉

its kinda like the ds using orion to beat his older crappier self. ds needed help to kill himself, and he was a weaker version of himself in foundations.

Why dont' you just post all of your statements in one post?
