i guess the writer screwed up. story doesnt count then. just like hunter and prey. but if that stroy counts darkseid has staed he doesnt lose in his physical form. so hes covered then. 😆
Galactus DOES NOT have dna, making that plot a little fishy. In world where comics are consistantly written, in one direction, Thanos shouldn't be able to clone Galan. I know it's canon, but the plot is a little, idiotic.
And yes Quan, Hunter/Prey, was an avatar.

Originally posted by starkingfunny everything u say just backs up darkseid. kind of funny how it works out. stuff thanos does and has done u try to say it doesnt count. when darkseid loses it doesnt count. when he wins it counts though doesnt it. did it count that darkseid if what u say is true didnt show up to defend apokolips. that makes him a coward. 😆

"In an interview, Grant remarked that this series of stories, (which he calls a "megaseries", also known as a metaseries), takes place after Infinite Crisis. (This may explain some apparent plot holes or inconsistencies in the series.) Dan DiDio has stated that, after careful consultation with Morrison, the series is now considered to take place a week before Infinite Crisis."

and of course "button we are speaking the truth these guys are delusional and need mental help. theremain points have alwyas been mind controlling billions of people and creating skyfather level people. i said der to ur silly argument."

Just to fill others in, Button and Logicaldebator, were two socks, likely the ones that are currently, spamming the forum.
Yep, you have every right in the world, to call me a troll.

Ugh, yes it is, Mephisto is no mastermind, of any kind. He JOBS alot. You know, like when a street leveler took him out. And yes, cloning Galactus is fukcing stupid, he doesn't have dna, hes an ABSTRACT for godsake. Hell, it would be stupid for Darkseid, to do something like that.
I mean, because Mephisto jobs (in battles no less), then his intelligence is bad? Ya, no. Mephisto knows the cosmic ebb of things, he knows what goes on, he knows a lot of things. While he might lose [most of his losses, have been said, because he wants souls (which was clearly explained when he wanted Surfer's), and destroy the body, lose the soul], his losses, should theoretically have nothing to do with his intelligence.
If Reed Richards lost a lot, would that have any effect on his great mind?
Mephisto is a mastermind as well, and is a master schemer.
Also, a street leveler took him out, because the street leveler used the most advanced race on Earth's weapons, and prepped for him.
Mephisto was depowered there, and as far as I know, when you get depowered, it isn't your same power, which by the way, would have nothing to do with jobbing.
Thanos told him, and made a deal with Mephisto. Thanos held true to his deal, but even then, Mephisto still came up short, since Thanos knew he was going to use a loophole in this deal, and the Lord of Lies never saw this coming.
A bad showing for Mephisto? Hardly. A high showing for Thanos? Hardly.
Also, about Galactus. Thanos with the gauntlet cloned him, and used his DNA to make the long story short, so I don't have to go through it.
Now, what you're saying is that Galactus doesn't have DNA, which might hold some merit.
The thing is though, that Tyrant has sliced Galactus's face open before, and Galactus bled.
Unless blood isn't DNA, then...
Also, another explanation, could be, that the energy residing inside Galactus, is what Thanos used. Maybe not DNA, but partly a piece of Galactus.
Also, it might have been through the IG that Thanos got this DNA, but it was through his mind that he created this being of might that dwarfed Galactus.
Now, let's go through some other stuff for Thanos's mind, will we?
Well, his own massive powers is through his mind.
His armada was through his mind.
Him creating a basic gun that could trap Thor with the PG was through his mind.
Him creating a weapon that in one shot, can take out Thor, Iron Man, and Mar-Vell was through his mind.
Him knowing the passage between life and death is through his mind.
Him being able to freely transport to the realm of abstracts (Eternity, etc) was through his mind.
Him having Dexter's lab in his basement is through his mind.
Plus, he's gotten the love of an abstract.
Etc, it's a long list.
Now, about this crap theory about him stumbling onto super powers, and that's only how he does things, well...
The Cosmic Cube, for instance, was accomplished through research.
He found out info about it, and he took action. Then demolished Drax.
The IG, was from his researching about them. Hell, he found out how they were made, and he also had to undertake some tasks.
The HOTU, do you believe that he just stumbled upon the power by accident? No, instead he manipulated a bunch of cosmics (with massive insight), into seeing if his theory was right or not (since there was no indication that the HOTU actually exists, and all his computers, and stuff tried to discount this), and then absorbed the power (and through will, even though his body was being disintegrated, managed to take in the massive energy, and it also seems that Thanos made himself a more powerful body).
Also, let's not forget a little thing about the HOTU saga, maybe the most important thing, Thanos still retains all the knowledge of the events, and remembers the things that happened...
Plus, Thanos researches... a lot! It's no fluke that he comes up with powers enough to destroy the universe.
Now, I'm not saying that Thanos wins or not, but some of this stuff is getting ridiculous.
Originally posted by Jebus rebornFair, atleast you make a point, but I still think Darkseid takes this.

Now, while I don't agree with quanchi... a lot, Thanos is an extremely good prep man.I mean, because Mephisto jobs (in battles no less), then his intelligence is bad? Ya, no. The point is, DS still takes this. personal resources has a lot to do with how well someone can prep. I'd wager Tyrant with prep would beat Thanos easily. It's not only the intelligence, but what you have at your finger tips. Batman is a prep God, but he isn't going to out prep Brainiac 5
Originally posted by nvrbeenwthagirlno thats not the point. darkseid cant beat his equal in high father with prep. with prep thanos can basically do whatver he wants. no matter what the odds whgen he inserts himself in a situation hes a major player. the annihilation wave he got an audeince with annihilus and he counted on thanos to help him study and capture galactus. thanos with prep is unbeatable, pretty much.
