Since 'Death Proof', I no longer feel that the name Tarantino is an automatic guarantee for interesting dialogue.

I really hope they bring megatron back, he is one the the key characters and honestly i would not want to see anybody else have the role as the decepticon leader, i also hope they bring soundwave in the next movie along with the dinobots and maybe devestator, i would like to see jazz back as well but they probaly wont, all i know is the left allot of openings for allot of things to happen, megatron can come back due to he was put offlin by the allspark, and optimus kept a small peice of the allspark, so allot can possibly happen to please all of us fans.

Well, sadly, the attitude displayed by Michael Bay and Don Murphy last time round of (paraphrasing) "F*** the fans... This is Michael's movie" doesn't fill me with hope when it comes to anticipating TF fan-pleasing moments in the sequel. (For the G1ers, at least... This new shit is more like R.I.D than anything...)

Right, now let me make a point here. I have never joined a site like this, i will never again.
I enjoy good films, but i'm not an obsessive.
I have one clandestine geek attribute and that was Transformers. The original series'.
This 'film' was AWFUL. Mr Bay was lack lustre and morose in his attempt to make a movie. The plot was dire, the 'cast' of autobots and decepticons, plagurised.
Nothing about this film was even remotely worth waking up for.
The C.G.I was unimpressive. The motion moved at such a pace that you couldn't make out who was who, what started where and what the hell was going on. What was the point in aiming for visually breathtaking when you turned each individual character into an amalgamation of mash and metal?
The plot was in no way parallell to anythig i remember from the transofrmers. The 'All Spark'????
Surely you mean the matrix? I mean that's a school boy error. And the dialogue was far more childish and purile than the cartoon ever was. Were we supposed to be watching a toddler track with so many flashes and blurs seizures were inevitable?
And what about the characters?.... They didn't even get the names right, let alone their alegiance. What a load of tosh! It was all a kin to re-writing the bible and having jesus play the evil temptation to satans god figure.
And if i offend any religeous freaks, blame my blashphemy on those who blasphemed me.
If they want to make a sequel, then make the original film. Delete this one from the archieves. Make believe that it never existed and start afresh. Take the story back to the begining, explain the difference between the 2 clans.
(for those that dont know, the Auto's were industrial appliances while the Decep's were military hardware, manufactured by the quintessons but gaining sentience. And for those who think Prime is Megatrons brother, look it up. Megatron nearly killed Prime when Prime was just a robot called Orion Pax working in the docks on cybertron. He was taken to Alpha Trion... the original leader, who repaired him and beefed him up into Optimus Prime, the new kind of warrior capable of fighting the Cons. resurected and recruited into the Auto's and went on to become leader. Basic stuff here people!!!!)
While in a re-write, why not go along the Unicron plot, now there would be somehting to show. Something that'll be so visually stunning it'll blow your mind.
Infact, why not invite me in to write for the thing, i seem to have the urge, knowledge and drive. Let alone the integrity to actually make something that doesn't resemble a celluloid chequebook.
This film was little more than a quick buck. Resembling more the Go Bots than the real deal.
Transformers will return, lets just hope it starts again.

Because he came after the decline of G1 and was one of the less memorable characters therefore, and everybody remembers Broadside for getting there first, I guess.
Good Idea Dice, but remember comic canon was the real deal, the series on TV was toned down/dumbed down for the kids and (until toward the end at least) had no continuity to speak of when compared to the Marvel Us/Uk story.
