I think the real problem here is: Americans thinking we Brits hate them...and then we go and send a tirade of insults.

Well. It's a lost cause really. Western culture is becoming so dominated by America, as it always has been, that it's easy to criticise. Seems like the lads can only take the criticism as hate, which it isn't.

EDIT: I'm tempted to throw in a comment about how if they "knew" a bit more about Europe they could criticise that, but as Ush, they can afford to be insular.

Plus, it's pretty much the British sense of humour to be critical; we love it, no matter what it's about.
Whether it's our country or yours ''going to the dogs'' a large number of British people love to talk about it.

Yeah, that's true. Actually that's a qualm I have with Florida, I can never find an Indian take away there, and I need Indian food. Especially when I'm pissed up.

LA is the same.

NYC is better although it takes you a while to find somewhere, have to do a little research, test the waters et cetera. Chinese was good after trying to find somewhere decent. Big Wang Restaraunt was worth seeing simply for the name. Austin is the same, although less eating out for students, more bumming around.
