E3 2008 Official Thread

Halfway through the conference now.

Interesting the Live thingies, 1 vs 100 etc.

what do u guys think about the 360 Avatars, compared to Nintendo Mii's, as well as the rumoured, but not revealed at E3, 360 Darwin (wii-like)Motion Controller?

The motion controllers is nto something I would wish to see.

As for the Avatars. They are definitley Mii-inspired, but Nintendo haven't really done anything with their Mii's. They are just there. If Microsoft can utilize them, then I don't mind them copying the Mii's.

the avatars do look nice and the new 360 interface looks cool too, a little iTunes coverflow-esque but cool.

I was suprised Microsoft didn't show any Halo Wars or the rumoured Peter Jackson halo project, the new masterchief-free halo game...or w/e the new Bungie game is... thinkin they would try to milk the sh!t out of the halo franchise haha.

I still luff xbox most awesome

on another note, i wanna see a return of forgotten PlayStation making its way next-gen exclusive to PS3, in some form (reallisticly PSN) or an actual next gen game

i would not expect Sony to bring back any of these games and make next gen sequels, but it would be awesome to be reintroduced to these familiar titles

Xbox 360 can have yugioh...since they already have made card games like uno, etc. haha

since then, the quality of those games hasnt been as good as the original developers ha. although I think there is a new Crash game and a new Spyro game (with Elijah Wood as Spyro lol)

and yeah other than the obvious, God of War III and Twisted Metal, Sony better have something shocking, and amazing under their sleeve.

However i doubt anything amazingly drastic like what most of us have mentioned (return of Zone of Enders, a new KH, and sequels to other familiar games that made us love Playstation), but the FFXIII multiplatform news was kept very well secret and suprisingly not leaked online...so anythings possible i guess

Funnily enough, tonight at work we were talking about how awesome it'd be if they made a new Legend of Dragoon. And Ape Escape and MidEvil were awesome.

Well, I'm not sure Sony can overcome this and a price drop even if GOW III is coming.

Sony plans on no price drop.

edit: sadly, i question Sony for drawing the line between, 'we dont need to pay third party for exclusives, we can make our own', and an exclusive that was to me, the equivalent of 'if mario goes multiplatform and i was a nintendo fanboy'...moving on...

k, Sony CAN overcome the sharing of a longtime exclusive third party game series. You will find that Sony still has a strong lineup that are developed by Sony, in the same way that most of Nintendo's good games are made by Nintendo(mario, metroid, zelda).
