E3 2008:Wii Remote Gets More Motion

So... 1:1 could now be possible? 😕

maybe a new Zelda game could use it? 🤨

Out of all the games you've mentioned, how many Sony games are being released this year?

im pretty sure quite a few of em.

-Resistance 2
-Socom
-MotorStorm: Pacific Rift
-PS Home
-Littlebigplanet
-other titles i have not mentioned

alright so some of the heavy hit titles i mentioned wont be out by the end of 08 but the ones still there are great non the less. Littlebigplanet is looking very bright, and Socom is self explanitory. We'll see what Home does. However, surely if Sony can get us excited about future titles like GOW3, GT5, inFamous, Twisted Metal, Tekken, etc, they can blow everyone away at E3. Killzone 2 already has me sold.

I'm dying to play Littlebigplanet. Resistance 2 is going to be great. Maybe Sony will surprise us with something sweet tomorrow. Who knows?

or a star wars TFU sequal 😛

I hope some Metal Gear titles are shown. 😄

Here you can see every ones favorite developer (😛), Electronic Arts, press conference: http://www.gametrailers.com/game/1780.html

My sister definitley would like the Sims Animals game.

Kombo Writes: "Like every E3 before it, rumors are stampeding in and out like a herd of wild buffalo. Like most buffalo, they get shot down before anything happens. Well, let's add three more buffalo to the herd. Much like Microsoft was expected to show a motion-based controller today, it appears that the DS could be receiving some motion in its ocean one way or the other. "

The minute this becomes true, I'm selling my DS Lite. Gonna get all I can for it while I can (plus I still have my original DS which gets me like $30 so that'll hold me over till this comes.)

Sony plans on no price drop.

edit: sadly, i question Sony for drawing the line between, 'we dont need to pay third party for exclusives, we can make our own', and an exclusive that was to me, the equivalent of 'if mario goes multiplatform and i was a nintendo fanboy'...moving on...

k, Sony CAN overcome the sharing of a longtime exclusive third party game series. You will find that Sony still has a strong lineup that are developed by Sony, in the same way that most of Nintendo's good games are made by Nintendo(mario, metroid, zelda).

i look forward to these exclusive titles (which will most likely make an E3 appearance):

-God of War III
-littleBIGplanet
-Killzone 2
-inFamous
-Gran Turismo 5
-Resistance 2
-untitled Twisted Metal for PS3
-Socom: Confrontation
-PlayStation Home

i dont know if its just me but compared to microsoft...

-Gears of War 2
-Fable 2
-Lips
-Banjo Kazooie: Nuts n Boltz
-Viva Pinata!: Trouble in Paradise
-Ur In The Movies
-Halo Wars
-Xbox Avatars

GOW III, Reisistance 2, and Little Big Planet will deliver without a doubt for the PS3, but I'm not sure it will sell without a price drop. PS3 remains the most expensive system with no real incentive to pay extra besides these titles and Metal Gear Solid 4.

I knew Sony messed up when they were discussing the features on the PS3 when it first was being annouced. One of the features includes playing 7 people on one system but there is not one game genre besides sports (and that's not a good idea) that can use this ability right; two HDTV hook up; it's not catered to the casual gamer at all. Blu-Ray is cute but it will be a while before it catches on to the masses in full form.

Sony is just redesigning the PS2 and making money that way. They screwed up this generation. FF XIII is a huge blow. They were really banking on that.

The only game im looking forward to the most is socom

Well, off the subject, the Nintendo Press Conference is about to begin in 5 minutes. Let's hope we see some sweet stuff from them. These have me particularly interested:

Nintendo's upcoming Wii MotionPlus accessory for the revolutionary Wii Remote controller again redefines game control, by more quickly and accurately reflecting motions in a 3-D space. The Wii MotionPlus accessory attaches to the end of the Wii Remote and, combined with the accelerometer and the sensor bar, allows for more comprehensive tracking of a player's arm position and orientation, providing players with an unmatched level of precision and immersion. Every slight movement players make with their wrist or arm is rendered identically in real time on the screen, providing a true 1:1 response in their game play. The Wii MotionPlus accessory reconfirms Nintendo's commitment to making games intuitive and accessible for everyone. Nintendo will reveal more details about the Wii MotionPlus accessory and other topics Tuesday morning at its E3 media briefing.

Oh, and Wii DLC was confirmed right before the press conference began.

yeah, PS3 does need a price drop, and more reasons to own a ps3 besides 'a bright future' (that might or might not come). and even though Sony did horrible, through their first year, they surpassed the amount of xbox 360's sold in its first year.

You can argue the only real next gen console is nintendo, it offers intuitive motion control and natural gameplay fun for everyone. I think PS3 is somewhat next gen too, not only in the hd graphics cabability that can only be done on PS3 and free online, (the only thing that really gives a glimpse of the ps3's potential is MGS4 probably). Microsoft basically just tried to beat everyone out of the gate, just a system touting its graphics and online.

If sony was banking on FFXIII they wouldve been willing to pay for the exclusivity, but i guess they don't...Sony needs more games for casual gamers liek Super Rub'a Dub, flOwer, littleBIGplanet, LocoRoco, Patapon(why not cash in on PSP's success of loco and pata with a Patapon PS3 right?) Sony just needs to focus on delivering at this point...

WiiPlay, WiiSports, WiiFit, WiiResort, now WiiMusic ...

I can't wait to see a Wii Zelda game using that new thingie for the Wiimote!!

keyword "thingie"

Well, that was relatively underwhelming.

what happened? reggie was like talking about pleasing hardcore gamers and then didnt show any hardcore games besides that trailer of Call of Duty...

No idea.... nothing happened, really. I was looking for Zelda, Metroid, hell even Mario... but nothing. Two hours to wait for some real news. COD looks nice and Wii Sports Resort actually looks fun, but the rest I couldn't care less about.

I was excited for Animal Crossing and Motion Plus, but everything else fell to the wayside. I hope Kid Icarus and Mad World are on the show floor(and Captain Rainbow <.<😉
