UHRP Player Information

Could someone perhaps help me with the actual plot of the roleplay? I'm not too good at this kind of things. It doesnt have to be very detailed, but if someone could just hint me in a good plot's direction that would be sweet 😄

I'll try to make something up. I think the 'evil' faction should already exist, but it has just made it's plans for more territory and conquest, while the 'good' faction is trying to stop it's spreading and perhaps, destroy it completely in the progress.

What you need to decide is who the third faction is going to be. Either an under numbered but more individually skilled race, or guerrilla military renegades, that are perhaps... Atheists and don't believe in neither religions?

Outnumbered but individually skilled race does sound good, but I'm having a hard time picturing that faction involving itself in a war between two larger, stronger in number factions. And especially how to make it efficiently roleplayed 😮

It might be the clever, charismatic, and guerrilla military faction, like I said. It might choose to help one side, but retreat if the battle gets too heated up and the chances of winning on their side is fading away. They might set up ambushes and traps for certain divisions of the army, in order to hit it in places that hurt most, such as catapults.

Like a group of sneaky Robin Hoods 😛

You could definitely count on me joining as a member of that faction. I like the renegade mercenary type roles.

Truthfully, I was actually really thinking about the elves of The Lord of The Rings when I made that up 😛

And all I can picture is Robin Hood or the rebels in Star Wars 😛

I was actually thinking more along the lines of the main seven characters in Legend of Dragoon (old PS1 game I'm obsessed with... overlook me...) when you mentioned it. They weren't so much interested in the war ending one way or another so much as they were about ending it so the people of the land could move on and live lives without constant fear that the war would spread to their homes.

But of course, an RP of this scale definitely needs more than seven for its "rebel faction."

Yeah. But a gang of Robin Hood/SW Rebel/LotR Elf- would certainly be cool. Although they'd have to rely on brains more than muscles, which is why I find it attractive 😛

And Bows and arrows. Lots of arrows =O
Like imagine the army moving down a forest and like arrows raining down volley after volley from all around at them and they have no idea what the hell is happening

Absolutely, Becci. I was simply saying that was the immediate impression I got upon reading the initial idea's post. 😛

You know how in different sections of the forum, they have special elite 'teams' of people who are good in those forums?

Like in the comics section they have Team Authority, who are all skilled debaters and stuff. We should have someone start something like that in the RPG forums. And only the best role players can join in. It can be a motivation for role players not as skilled to strive and become better in it.

That is a fantastic idea, Vlad. Of course, I would have to nominate Becci and Marie as our leaders. They're two of the best there are in the UHRP.

That sounds really cool 😄 I think we'll go by that. But the issue remains revolving how the plot should look like hmm

Marie? Haven't been on UHRP for the past year or some what, so refreshen my memory of who that is. Or maybe she changed names.
