Well, all things are welcome, Jericho 😄 If anyone of you guys think of something you think would be cool in "my" idea (Note the quotation. It's not just my idea 😛), please do write it here so I have something to read tomorrow when I log on 😄 Dont hold it back 😉 I'll be starting to work on a plot tomorrow some time after I have loged on, so give me all you got whenever you got it (If you got anything before you log out for today) 😛

What they taught me in school and partially college is that they were, although a great civilization, a brutal one. They loved war and ignited it whenever possible. If a person is chosen to be sacrificed, he was honored and accepted it. That's what interests me the most about them, that they weren't afraid of death in war or sacrifice.
They weren't sacrificed to the gods. They believed that they and the gods must sacrifice to continue life and grow. It had nothing to do with with the gods.

You know how in different sections of the forum, they have special elite 'teams' of people who are good in those forums?Like in the comics section they have Team Authority, who are all skilled debaters and stuff. We should have someone start something like that in the RPG forums. And only the best role players can join in. It can be a motivation for role players not as skilled to strive and become better in it.

That is a fantastic idea, Vlad. Of course, I would have to nominate Becci and Marie as our leaders. They're two of the best there are in the UHRP.
Awesome idea 🥷
Marie for president! rockon
So this is what I've got: (I'll call the factions good, dark and rebels until I've determined a better name for each. So bare with me if the summary so far might look silly)
The war takes place in a whole new world, where good and evil is litteraly at war. The good fights with their faith in the mighty heavens above, in the light, while the dark seeks to transform the whole world in their image, and believe that weakness and compassion is a sin. They believe that in darkness lais strength, and they also believe that darkness is not just a name for a feeling, but also a greater force. A force to whom they preform honorful rituals and sacrefices to. Sacrefices in blood.
Both sides do however believe in honor, which will be shown troughout the battles taking place. The honor in a challenge, the honor in keeping your pride intact, and the honor in fair warfare. The good reluctantly trusts in the dark's belief in honor, although believes it is just a matter of time before a severe blow against them is dealt trough the shadows, away from honorful battlefields, away from soldiers, and into the heart of the nations.
A third group, something that could be called rebels, a group of both atheists and various mixed relgious individuals that fit in neither of the two large forces has been formed. These rebels believe that the ongoing wars, as honorful as both sides consider them to be, brings more suffering to the people than either side realises. They believe in a free choice of lifestyle, religion and in the freedom to walk the streets without fear. They also believe in the people, much more so than they believe in heaven or darkness. They believe that the strength lies in the individual, and not in your beliefs.
While good and dark clashes frequently, the rebels use more subtle strategies, striking both nations where it hurts. They are working on ending the war, rather than winning it. They try keep away from the larger battles, while participating in lesser ones, as well as striking at sources of resources, or vital transportations or escorts. And yet, while they believe that all killing must come to an end, many rebels are willing to take lives to save lives, even the lives of various leaders or officers.
Both the good and the dark clash in battle after battle, conquiering their right to walk the world by blood, the rebels strikes only where it hurts for either side in ways that benefit the people. They care little if it is the good, or the dark, for as long as their actions safeguards the people inbetween. Those that can not fight the war, or those that are caught in the crossfire.
Because as strong as the good, as well as the dark are, they care more of the big picture, than the little people. While they are determined to win, both of them, the rebels are more determined to end the war, by any means necessary.
If they are sons, there'd have to be a father, and I was thinking the villains would reach far beyond one generation, and would consist to the majority of humans. Sons need a father, and since they believe in darkness instead of in some God, and their founder is dead since long, I just dont think "sons" would hit the spot 😛
If you get what I mean 😮
But the idea of mystical names is good.

What time period are you thinking of Seer? Distant future, medieval???
Medieval 🙂 I could go with a post-apocalyptic futuristic era as well, but thinking more in medieval terms. Not yet quite certain. I could bring up an example of a post-apocalyptic scenario I had in mind that mix various eras of technology, but it's of Scandinavian origin, so it'd not help you anything with understanding 😛

Well for the Dark ones then how about Rakayats (Ra-kie-yas)
