A suggestion for how you can easily slap people who think they can rebel against the Alterren could be that an Alterren can only be opposed by another Alterren or a similar race of equal stature 🙂 Not for no reason but rather because there's some genetic prominence in the race that nullify any non-Alterren power of in their presence 😛

psy has a sword that reverts everything back to its base form.. O_o.. doesnt even cut people. it cant hurt anyone, it just says "oh, you're destroying the universe? i just put it back to normal." or "oh, you're pulling out a rediculous amount of narutard-esque weapons and energy? sit down, i just put it all away again." it does that to everyone, though.. even him.. so its kind of a poor weapon, but a great fight ender.
The word "Everything" is restricted to the perceived reality of the origin of the item or entity. This means that if there's a force in power beyond the origin of whatever item (In this case sword) then that force is also beyond the immediate effect of said item.
"Everything" is a frequently abused word in fiction. Doing X to everything does not mean all things are affected by X. Only that within the realm of comprehension of the origin of the item 🙂
To get onto the Alterren. The Alterren could very well be the founders of the universe or something even greater. My point is that they can be "beyond everything". What your sword perceive as everything is limited in the sense that it'd exclude a power greater than its own. An absolute is never an absolute in fiction 😛

but anyways.. how did we make it back in the day... hmmmn.. it worked by acting on the natural harmony between order and chaos. light and dark.. ying and yang and such.. basically opposing forces and shifted their movement to such that all energy effected by the blade itself was no longer in conflict with any other force.
it worked on saiyans power levels. (which was halarious to knock an ssj7 back down to normal levels) transformations, area spells. everything we ever tried on it, it worked on.
but its uses were mainly like xans time dagger. great in theory, but only really used to dick around with..
