The movie sucks.

Only for certain people.

This movie was just...meh. The editing was slapdash, like the director is in a hurry; definitely feels like it's missing scenes. Improved VFX, sure, but the original told it's story better, with more clarity.
THOR better be a lot better than this.

(At least they ridiculed that dumb mechanical owl from the first. 😛 )

Man, this movie's so shitty.

I didn't care too much about this movie.

Certainly leagues better than the first one, no doubt.

Was entertaining, enough. 6 out of 10.

Hmm....some parts we good, others old and tired.

It's kind of crappy that I didn't like this film that much, because this type of film is usually something I like. Maybe it's because I wanted a better story and back story? bla bla bla.

About the same rating that they have over at IMDB

and a 30% rating now at Rotten Tomatoes.

What a pointless remake! The special fx were the only reason for its existence. Sam Worthington has become nothing more than a prop, especially since he looks exactly like the terminator character he played last year. In all the movies that I have seen him in the past two years he has the same look and facial hair stubble, you would think he would try to immerse himself into the role, but no. Beyond this, I have to think that the Perseus character in this version was meant to be played by a teenager because all he does throughout the movie was ***** and act all angst ridden. Medusa was a complete limp dick, where is the tension?! The original Medusa was scary. This one was mega-lame in that she laughs and is practically maxim ready. There are some positives, I liked the fact that Calypso was a deviation from the original. I also like the idea of the Djin. Personally I would have preferred if they had broken up the story into three parts under a better writer and director. By doing this, they could fill up the story with seperate obstacles and climaxes for each film. Anyway, what resulted here is a ****ing wasted opportunity. I'm glad this movie failed because it'll teach others on how not to make a lousy remake. Oh wait... nevermind!

Clash of the Titans is a 2010 fantasy film and remake of the 1981 film of the same name. As with the 1981 film, the story is very loosely based upon the Greek myth of Perseus. Directed by Louis Leterrier and starring Sam Worthington, the film was originally set for standard release on March 26, 2010. However, it was later announced that the film would be converted to 3D and was finally released on April 2, 2010.

Its an average movie that is not good or deserving to go beyond 6........The talents of great actors such as Liam Neelson and Ralph Fiennes were not utilized and 2D reigns more in this than 3D effects(or is ti a fault of theater that I watched I don't know that). This film doesn't deserve or need not even be released as 3D as it does not give much.......Although the myths and the animation works are good it sinks due to the vague 2D effect(because we expected 3D)........Only some scenes are shown in 3D..almost 3/4th of the film is in 2D........Watchable thats all but not a great or good film........its an OK type film.......The fight between Medusa and Perseus is smartly handled........

Today I watched it for the first time in dvd, the 2010 version obviously.
I had great hopes for it after watching the trailers, but onestly somethings could have been done better. The movie started great, you know the crescendo of the men/gods feud, Perseus finding himself involved for various reasons, he and the Argo's soldiers and the two hunters fighting along the djinn, it was kinda cool, a good mix of action and sci-fi, but the power rankings of the characters if you ask me, were somehow inconsistent.

.Perseus
With Zeus' blood in his veins, I expected him to be, let's say what Kevin Sorbo's Hercules in the tv series was. Strong, muscular, and smart, but the guy spends most of the time complaining about his family, not wanting to embrace his god side, and until the fight with the scorpions he didn't show much strength or durability. Tough he did survived being crushed against pillars, a fall from the sky into the dome of the temple were Andromeda was gonna be sacrificed, outspeeding Medusa, and lately, killing his stepfather, who was enhanced by Ades himself, but he didn't had real feats of superstrength, I would have liked to see him throw some big rock or punching someone several feet away, you know typical strength feats a guy who's a demi-god should do. The captain of the soldiers looked more demi-god than him in some instances, being older and mortal, he managed to reach for Perseus and Medus with an arrow stucked in the chest.
.Zeus, Hades, the Olympians
When Hades first shows up, he curbstomps humans without any trouble, showing gravity manipulation like when he pulled toward himself the soldiers in the throne room, fire balls, force fields, teleportation, flight, and sure his physical attributes are all enhanced as well. Considering Zeus is the leader of the olympians, we can assume he should be at least as strong as Hades if not more. Then lately in the film, without the humans worshipping him, he becomes just an old man in a shining armor who can't even try to stop Hades, but still he managed to cast lightning bolt on Perseus' magical sword and the resulting blow threw Hades back to the underworld

I mean at the end I was kinda confused. So Hades becomes stronger thanks to the men's fear, and Zeus weaker, but all it took was a lightning enhanced sword to beat him? I expected a tougher showdown with Perseus, but considering how the kid had a hard time with Medusa and Scorpions, it would have not been a fair fight. I hope in Wrath Of The Titans, the announced sequel, they kinda make the rankings clear, and maybe gave Perseus more concrete feats, also Sam Warthington should put on some good 10-15 pounds, cause he didn't looked much demi-god to me, I mean the guy ain't even the average gym dude if you look at him

Sci-Fi?!?!?

Just read the sequel thats coming is gonna be helm by the dude who's doing Battle: LA.
