This movie sucked. I haven't seen the original, but Backfire and Robtard are right, this one's no good. Some good cinematography, some okay action, and some cool creatures and effects. Other than these things, this movie has NOTHING to offer.
Stale... well, stale everything; acting was pretty bad, Sam Worthington is such a boring leading man, I don't know how he keeps landing major roles. Clash of the Titans ('10) felt like a videogame, I think that's how I felt most of the time - any/all dialogue was just exposition to move the film along to the next mediocre action sequence, like cheesy cutscenes between gameplay.
Anyway, this movie is not worth seeing in theaters (and for many of you, not worth seeing at all).
3 or 4/10

Spoiler:
How did they know he was a demi-god?How did he make a 9-10 day trip back in 20-30 minutes? Sure the horse flew, but it wasn't THAT fast.
There were more, as I remember thinking "wtf?" a lot in the film.
I take it you hated GI Joe, but liked this film?

I'm guessing the other people who went to see it and did'nt like was expecting the next big Gladiator type movie with monsters thrown in.
Honestly dude, i didn't expect much from this movie. I knew that it was just an excuse to show off some special effects. I wasn't expecting depth or thought provoking character development. Shit, the original was nothing more than a visual spectacle. The three things i did expect from this movie, however were great visual effects, Epic battles that pit badass villains and heroes together with a few over the top, yet inspiring speeches and a sense of comradery amongst the humans.
It's a movie about hades declaring war on humanity. Gods vs humans. It shouldn't take a veteran screen writer to conjure up a sense of desperation and comradey in this situation. It felt like another michael bay movie where the only focus was on the effects and not on the story telling. I thought for sure that a movie like Clash of the Titans would be impossible to f**k up in this day and age. This genre is not new territory. Maybe, in the early 80's it was still virgin territory but the template for epic fantasy movies has been long perfected.
