Godzilla was a fire breathing water monster. He was a lizard, yes, but he actually LIVED under the Pacific Ocean. He only went up onto land when he had to.
Yea, he also somehow knew how to fight karate, at times (seriously)
It looked funny and cool but did it make sense? 1st of all reptiles have lungs. And Godzilla would be under the ocean apparently for years at a time. Unless he has gills too, which would be even more bizarre.
J.J. knows that audiences are inquiring and are smart and won't go for illogical make up. Not anymore.
That why I'm saying a monster like that wouldn't make sense and wouldn't sell.
'98's Godzilla tanked hard partly cause the monster made no sense to today's audience. Sure there's the notion of keeping it mysterious but concepts must be as sensible, as well.

Um, yes you did quote me. And answered my post rather irrelevantly. And there's alot to see. 2nd trailer's come out for you. Besides J.J.'s constant revelations.
And he's depending on mystery to draw crowds? Doesn't every movie do that with it's trailers? You're little late on that one. By a bit more than a half century.
Well, your were dead wrong on the movie being most looked at through the perspective of a cell phone's video or w/e the hell you said. Good, I guess. I wouldn't want it to be that way. That view would suck dcik.
But it'll be a great movie.
Using quotes and quoting someone directly are two different animals, just an fyi.
Actually no, not every movie depends on casting "mystery" to draw a crowd, as some trailers pretty much sum up the movie, duh.
Funny how I can be "dead wrong", about something I never said. I said the movie would be seen through a personal camera (like a camcorder). So far, it looks like I was right.
I doubt the movie will be great, but we'll have to wait.

I didn't say that. Just wondered where the fireball came from cause if it did indeed come from an aquatic monster, if that's what it truly even is, then it wouldn't neither make sense nor look right. The producers can do what they want but I'd be contradicting. A fire breathing water monster? C'mon.
Are you insane... like a gigantic non-firebreathing water monster would be any more probable. It's a fantasy/sci-fi movie.

And a gigantic aquatic monster bigger then most buildings that is destroying New York and is > the United States army is anymore realistic and logical?
It's a movie people.
There is no "creature code" when you make a movie that involves monsters. There is no set of guidelines. The monster is whatever Abrams wants it to be. If a person sits through the whole thing, then bitches because the "aquatic monster breathed fire", they should not have any business going to the movie in the first place. I don't think that it really matters though, because I, along with many others, feel that you will only get a glimpse of the big monster. I still think that there are smaller monsters that come from the big one or are on the big one when it attacks. If that's true, the audience will see more of the smaller ones then the big one.
The new trailer that just came out really looked good to me. I hope this movie is everything it's been promo'd to be and more.
Hey, did you guys see this . . .

The movie won't show too much more than that, it'll just be hazy glimpses of it.
From the image I say that there is something moving there...it can't be dust because you can clearly see dust falling down and not moving from left to right.
I heard today the movie will be release in Australia first and then in the USA and Canada.
One week later it will be shown in the UK.
This most likely will kill the mystery of the film. They should go with a global release date like they did with the Independace day and Matrix.
