For me it was one of those movies that started off great and had many great scenes but overall it portrayed itself as a new breed of action film but in the end fell into every single cliche trap there is. most predominately, the whole thng about going back in when common sense syas otherwise. now in normal disaster movies this works because there is some chance you can get out again before the things hits. here you have a monster that the military is firing everything at and getting nowhere. fine there is still a slim chance u can get back out. but whent hose spider things bit that woman who then exploded?hello, um that would be my cue to say get the **** out because even if shes is somehow alive she will not be for very long.

You could literally say that about any movie, and the fact of the matter is, they did almost get out, so your point is moot.

Here's the Hasbro toy of the Cloverfield monster.
Don't look if you haven't seen the movie or don't wanna be spoiled.

to me it wasn't. yea the movie had action, thrill, and suspense but i thought it neither stood on or hung off anything..
it was like an impregnated burrito. good in the middle with a tasteless and uninteresting beginning and end.
my take.

But my apologies for not making it preferably prettier and wittier for you. (not a big fan of being or seeming appeasing in order to gain friends or to seem learned for the sake of seeming so. I just feel too indifferent about attention and admiration to care enough.)
Thing is, not matter how much you insult me or what i think or your tastes, it still won't change that i think it had one of the worse ending of all film history.
And I knew i'd unwantingly lure you out of kmc's crevasses but i wanted to answer the guys' question. He asked for an opinion,; i gave him mine.

Yet very true. That movie wasn't all that great.
His analogy wasn't to portray "It wasn't good." though.
His analogy was to portray that he felt it was missing something, it wasn't "missing" anything. The FILM wasn't missing anything inherently, it just didn't include the crayon coloured explanations he wanted.
It's simply not his kind of movie, and yet, he's gonna wait, wait, wait, spend money on Cloverfield 2, then probably moan about it. That's if J.J. Abrams doesn't dumb it down for the people that bitched, then he'll like it.

Who is trying to change what you think? I'm not TRYING to. However, you seem to have changed based on the fact that people you DISLIKE, like it. You didn't hate it or dislike it before. Now you do, and it's ever since this debate started.
It's also hypocritical that in the same post you complain about being insulted, when you do it yourself. Who's trying to gain friends or SEEM learned? You are the one saying "I'm analytical, I'm smart, I'm too practical for this movie.", and the funny thing is, the meaning and intention of the movie actually flew over your head.
That is what's funny to me. You are clearly insulted that you didn't get this movie, so you're trying to pull every single excuse out. I'm not insulting you, you just happen to be insulted. You just do not get the movie, and you are not the kind of person he aimed for with it. Rambo is more to your tastes, as you've said yourself.
It's nothing personal, you dislike it (now), fine. Go for it. Just don't ***** at J.J. Abrams if the sequel isn't what you want, he's not catering to you, and you've CHOSEN to wait.

Not only do you lack diplomacy but you're wrong alot of the times.
You know, you have the qualities becoming that of the opposite sex. You get extremely angry alot with a catty attitude extension, You nag alot, you called a scene "beautiful" in one movie recently. You hate Rambo, you think beer's gross, you like Prince, your sigs are flighty, and you always call me out in public, and vex me in private, in the way a lady might, after a broken heart.
I'm not sure if you've been tricking us all along, no pun intended, but you confuse me. It's as if you have a perpetual period. But your a guy, how can that be? As you know, I am an analytic and practical guy the likes which you've never seen. I'm also the greatest man you've even known, hehe. Which leads me to believe that a reason must exist.
And i'll wait for cloverfield 2, and without your permission, i'll watch it and if it sucks, ill be the 1st on one here gladly saying so. Simply.
Just as adamantly as when i said that the 1st movies' ending sucked cVntballs, which in turn made me dislike the entire movie. No disrespect to you but I'm gonna change J.J.'s name to Gay.J. if he blows this one. I'll give him another chance.
And the guy asked for an opinion, i gave him mine, and you regretably slither out and insult me personally with pee-pee ca-ca inuendo.
Look, we're at a crossroad, you and I, A.C. So select your words wisely or it's curtains for you. Either way doesn't matter. I've been meaning to reasonably get rid of you. I'm not into listening to a womans' nag and i don't want to hear your's either. Don't call it a setup. Regard it as,..a lesson. In what?, you figure it out. Call it what you want; humility w/e. As long as somethings learned.

I know you'll do that, but now I've said it...you've got it in your mind. Do you *****...knowing you'll just look bitter, or do you say you liked it to prove me wrong?

Why would it be disrespect to me? Also, I'm pretty sure J.J. Abrams cares what you think, someone who he didn't even aim the movies at.
Clearly you dislike the entire movie, you hate it, because I like it, and others like me, who are truly analytical, like it.

Insult you or simply say that your analogy was utterly pathetic? If you are insulted by my opinion of your analogy, tough, but I didn't set out to insult you. There's a difference.
Speaking of feminine qualities...you are touchy.
As for the rest of your very sad, very, VERY pathetic post that doesn't deal with Cloverfield at all, I'll just laugh at you. All this because you simply cannot handle me in a debate about a movie I have influenced your opinion on. I'm not sure what it is you think you're setting me up WITH, for or...how, but I just think this is all a very silly way of countering someone with a better argument, out of bitterness for not getting a movie or being as smart as you think you are.
You're a sad, strange person, boy.
