Evanescence

Evanescence’s audience mainly consist of kiddos under 16 (who shop at Hot topic and consider themselves "goth"😉 or older people who are mentally invalid.

There should be a cull of all the people who like them, and are over 16.

Evanescence has done nothing special at all. Nor are their lyrics or music anything special or deep.

I'd say the Linkin Park comparisons are pretty spot-on.

Actually, I find the lyrics speak to a lot of different people in a lot of different ways. Perhaps you just have to have that experience, or feel that emotion.

There's more to Evanescence than just their music for a lot of people.

And they're very good, down to earth people.

I find absolutely nothing wrong with having a younger audience. Teenage years are touchy, full of conflicting emotions. Evanescence is a good solid point. And to a lot of teens, they mean a lot.

As far as older people who are "mentally invalid" goes, that's completely wrong. Sure, there are some crazy's, as there are with many other bands, but I feel quite comfortable going on to forums such as EvThreads and finding a lot of level-headed adults who can keep things up and running.

At the Ev concert I went to, I could stop and turn and talk to any of the adults standing around me in between songs and have a casual conversation about bands, other concerts, and even about work and the weather (on one occasion).

At their concerts loads of ppl r in their twenties or so n that makes them the older lot.Evanescence is liked by ppl from all age groups cuz they can easily relate to them.

I ALMOST had tickets. I was going to go to Sacremento, but they changed the date to the first Friday of school.

Em and I were pissed. It's ok, I got to see them at Fresno.

It would have rocked to see Ev, Atreyu, Korn, and Flyleaf all at the SAME concert though.

And that caption is far better than mine was 🙂

I have a huge collection of Ev pics, but none with the entire new line-up.

They haven't taken any Promo's or actual shoots with Will and Troy. Although I wouldn't mind seeing Troy more often XD

I have a couple though.

And I believe she said that she'll go to Hot Topic every now and then, some Victorian Clothing stores I'm sure, and she designs her own clothes and has a Japanese designer make them for her.

I feel so. . .lame now. 😐
