Not for me, but for others since it's clear majority don't read the issues themselves and just look at the scans posted on the board
Well...it takes too much effort to spell everything out each and every time. But at least you know what I am talking about and the context behind it all.

I mean, Darkseid, geez

Darkseid did defeat the Greek God Hermes though 😖hifty:

Hermes ass was kicked in the newest Trials of Shazzam, right?

Didn't read it so I don't know, but I doubt it was the Greek Mercury/Hermes. As the "Gods" Captain Marvel channels are not the Greek Gods, but Gods of Magic which are different entirely but they share the same name.

Thats just... Man, no wonder DC continuity is hard to follow.

That's a new thing, just introduced in the Trials of Shazam.
DC continuity is no harder to follow really than Marvel.
Both reboot and retcon constantly.

Agreed. They reboot way too much.

Both retcon the same amount of time, but thanks to their addiction to the Crisis Event & year-long series (52, Countdown) DC seems in a constant state of reboot & flux.

Spoiler:
Orion is dead, and the New God Killer couldn't take his soul, so Orion is dead for good...

Heh! Figured as much

Meh.

😬

Just read Death of the New Gods 6 and woo looks whatever The Source has plans for the Fifth World are going to be big 😄

Some have guessed right about the killer a while ago...nice going

I am a little confused...in issue 5 metron is talking to the source and it states that sometime in the future three of the gods try and destroy him,but failed to do so....in the future? then it went back in time and killed the old gods? and while not whole created the new gods.....anyone confused as to the timetable of this event? will it happen to the source in the 5th world?

Your confusion is understandable.

Metron and the Source were in the distant past while they were having the conversation, as seen by the young Odin they observe in the distance.

The Source seems so have a timeless-yet-within-time perspective much like Dr. Manhattan.

Timeline:

Spoiler:

Whole Source creates Old Gods
Old Gods betray Source and Source splits due to their attempted assassination
Light Source Fragment eventually recovers and brings about Old Gods destruction
Light Source Fragment creates New Gods, but poorly due to its incomplete nature

/Timeline.
